Travel with Barry: E. 6 - The Western Canada Roadtrip Continues: | Burgers on UBC Campus, Life in Richmond BC near Vancouver! | My Custom Dale Hawerchuk Hockey Shirt. | BC Lifestyle. | (British Columbia)
The journey continues today from my roadtrips around North America.
You have to remember, these pictures are from 2006 and so is the technology I was using then. Digital Cameras were not what they are today, so the quality suffers.
I am on the UBC / University of BC (British Columbia) campus mowing down a burger at a small place owned at the time by a pro football player.
It was delicious LOL.
In Canadastan, one of the most legendary campuses and Universities, regardless of your stance on statism and tuition etc --- is the UBC Campus, right on the waterfront / west tip of Vancouver by the Pacific Ocean... The Georgia Strait is the water right beside the campus but that Strait leads right into the Pacific, and not far from Vancouver Island.
It is SWEET!!!
A very good overview of the 'hoods or districts there -- they all have a specific boundary and you need to know these basics if you spend time there LOL.
I had to learn, so do you!!
I had this shirt custom made for me, at a special Sports shop out in Winnipeg on my travels.
-- I still have it.
I am in Richmond BC at a place I was staying, so Tim snapped this of me, since it is a custom made, special collector item and I do not wear it.
Dale Hawerchuk, was born in my city and skated on the same ice as I have here.
He is one of the finest hockey players to ever play the game, in all aspects.
He played his Minor hockey in my town, had a literal Hall of Fame career in the NHL, and played on Team Canada.
His parents and sister live around the corner from me actually LOL.
These days, and for the last 3 yrs or so -- he is coaching the Barrie (nice name eh LOL) Colts, about 2 hrs north of me, in Ontario in the OHL / CHL.
This memory may not mean anything to anyone else but me, and that is OK.
I shared this previous but it is worth repeating.....
This done one better ---- It is a moose dressed in the RCMP outfit of the Mounties -- the Federal / National Police Force.
As usual, I will offer minor political commentary on the spotted past of the RCMP in the Police State here -- tied to Bill C-51, and the police state / mass surveillance bill, stealing the civil rights of people in this country.

I was driving across the country here and there and have TONS of photos from my various journey around North America.
I decided to start posting some of them since some people have encouraged me to post more personal things over the months which I have done.
This set is from my Cross Country Mission Trip in 2006 where I called it Coast to Coast w. the Holy Ghost LOL.
My Philosophy In Daily Life & Travels:

I have always tried to be kind to people every day, as part of my life Philosophy, since I have always believed we can achieve more TOGETHER.
Technically lately the last while I started posting travel pictures, and never thought of starting another series with them, which is funny, because I have come up with and run so many series' here on Steemit LOL.
My path to Crypto is with you guys and we are on the path to Liberty.
We are all early adopters here, if you are even close to reading this today.
