A few days ago I moved to Warsaw, to a rented flat that was empty for some time.	Kilka dni temu przeprowadziłem się do Warszawy, do wynajmowanego mieszkania, które przez jakiś czas stało puste.
Yesterday, a thieving magpie took an interest in this flat – sat outside the window blatantly and started looking at the things that appeared in the flat lately. The windows have bars, but they are too wide to stop a magpie from breaking and entering. I have to be very vigilant in the next few days.	Wczoraj mieszkaniem tym zainteresowała się sroka złodziejka – bezczelnie usiadła tuż przy oknie i przyglądała się rzeczom, które właśnie pojawiły się w mieszkaniu. Niby w oknach są kraty, ale zbyt szerokie, żeby powstrzymać srokę przed włamaniem. W najbliższych dniach muszę być bardzo czujny.

There was a storm outside and the bird knocked a few times on the window with its beak.	Na dworze szalała burza i ptak zapukał kilka razy dziobem w okno.
The weather was really awful and I felt a little sorry for the uninvited guest. However, I decided that it would be irresponsible to let any bird fly into the flat. The reputation of a thief didn't help the magpie either.	Pogoda była naprawdę paskudna i trochę zrobiło mi się żal nieproszonego gościa. Uznałem jednak, że pozwolenie, aby jakikolwiek ptak wleciał do mieszkania, byłoby nieodpowiedzialne. Reputacja złodziejki tym bardziej nie pomogła sroce.

The magpie waited the storm out and flew away safely. Will it come back with a bag or a van soon?	Sroka przeczekała burzę i bezpiecznie odleciała. Czy wróci tu niedługo z workiem lub furgonetką?
