Heads Up, People... Need Some Help For A SteemBassador!
Folks, we have a SteemBassador in a perilous situation.
The powers-that-be who are supposed to step in with assistance in these circumstances have done virtually nothing to make his situation better. He's still working his way up the official local hierarchy food-chain, seeking assistance, but time is working against him.
His resources have dwindled to nothing, which prompted him to draw me a clearer picture of his situation. It's serious and it could get worse very quickly.
Many of you have heard him speak of his accident... being hit by a car.
Did you know he went through the windshield?
Did you know he's disabled after being in great shape his whole life?
Did you know he can barely leave his house due to probable PTSD from the accident?
Did you know he was self-sufficient before this and, thus, hates asking for help?
Did you know he lives out his political views, even to his own detriment, to help others first?
Did you know people belittle his efforts to support himself, including on here?
Did you know that one of the few things that ticks me off is seeing someone kicked when they're down?
So, the feisty side of aunt-deb rears her head and challenges the community to do what you can for our fellow-Steemian.
Donations are, of course, most welcome to get him through the immediate future. I'll be sending something along, meager though it will be.
I'm hoping y'all will chip in a little something-something, too. We know it adds up.
Over and above that, however, I would love to see if there's anyone who could help navigate Canadian law, so he can negotiate a more permanent, stable situation. Recommendations for an advocate would be helpful, considering he's house bound and relying on the net for his communications.

This has been flagged, by 2 of the biggest whales on here, and a third......and the post is a $6 or $7 post, to help a community member?
Seems pretty biased for a good cause, many of us have helped people doing posts like this for community members.
Seems obvious the bias must be against me for speaking out at times on here -- insert exhibit "A" - proving my point once again about some of the people and behaviours on here controlling things.
It's not personal @barrydutton. The whales are still doing that experiment. A few of my recent posts have been flagged as well. It is what it is until they change things up - hopefully in a near future HF.
have you seen some of the names and the stuff on here trending in the 50 and $130 range that makes it while a community minded post like this is flagged without care or worse, and buried?
That is my POV. And flagged with a HUGE 14 and 16% Downvote to bury it. I would be this upset no matter who this post was about.
That is NOT right considering some of who and what is allowed to get massive payouts on here, that I have paid attn to for WEEKS carefully.

Have you noticed all the posts written since y-day, at least for me -- are now showing all $0.00 payouts? It just happened in the last half hour.
This is why those group ideas would be great, people could earn together and then the group admin could increase the amount given to a particular member if they need a bit of a hand (and who doesn't need help in life sometimes?). I have always helped others but watching what the state is doing to me, as a resident and activist calling them out for years, has been hard on me... all of this.

I've been fighting thru this for nearly 15 mths getting worse each month, I just have been trying to stay encouraged and encouraging to others here while trying to deal with this mess.
