제 5장 관념의 타파

1. 관념의 벽

동서남북이 탁 터져 있는데 누가 서쪽으로 가서는 안된다. 동쪽은 막혀 있다고 하면 그대로 속고 만다. 마음으로 막혀 있다면 막힌 것이고 가서는 안 된다 하면 못 가는 것이다. 그러나 마음에 얽매임이 없다면 내가 가고 싶은 대로 가는 게 그대로 법이다. 누구나 부처 될 가능성을 100% 가졌다고하는 것은 그렇게 자율적으로, 자유롭게 무심 중용 할 수 있기에 부처 될 자격이 있다고 하는 것이다.

Chapter 5 Breaking Down Preconceptions

1. Walls of Conceptions

East, west, south, and north are open, and no one should go west. If you say that the east is blocked, you are deceived. If the mind is blocked, it is blocked, and if you say you shouldn't go, you can't go. But if the mind is unbounded, then it is dharma to go where you want to go. When we say that everyone has a 100% chance of becoming a Buddha, we are saying that they are qualified to become a Buddha because they are able to do so autonomously, freely, and mindlessly.
