A Review of recent good masternode explanation articles and two very unique masternode coins.

I saw several good masternode articles this week, so I wanted to pass the links on because with the cryptocurrency market being down right now, it’s a good time to get good coins at low prices.
I think it’s always to start off an article with a definition to bring everyone to the same starting point.

What is a Masternode?
I like the definition in this article below, so I am using it here with full citation.

A Masternode is a server on a decentralized cryptocurrency network; its purpose is to complete tasks for the network that a simple node is not able to accomplish. These tasks can help allow (for example) private or instant transactions on the network. Masternodes typically require a high amount of collateral to be accepted as part of the network. As a reward for their work, they typically receive a portion (%) of the block reward. The payout times vary, some Masternodes pay out once per day, others once per week, etc. If the required collateral is removed from the Masternode wallet, the Masternode will no longer be accepted by the network until properly funded.<
This quote is from an excellent article by , which you can find here:

I think this recent article gives a very could explanation of masternodes using regular, everyday English:

I also think this older article on masternodes is very useful.
👉The newest passive investment strategy for smart investors: Cryptocurrency Masternodes.

While only the future can know if one of these coins will be the next etherium or Dash, each has an attractive use case and like all low cost investments you could lose all your investment or profit greatly by some 100 or 1000 multiple. This article isn’t investment advice, but a hopefully useful collection of information. An article by @btcdreamz discusses five good masternode coins you should consider investing in now. The link is below and I recommend you read it.

Now that you know what a masternode is its a good time to discus two coins whose business model revolves around making masternode investing easy. Those coins are Gincoin currently trading around ten dollars and Apollon coin, which is currently trading around 15 cents. Both coins business model is directed at removing the technical barriers of understanding software coding and allowing technical novices to invest in masternodes. Both coins feature a GUI or graphic user interface, which means you click on pictures and complex computer software mediated processes take place in minutes. The actual process can take hours and is technically complex enough to be quite a barrier of entry of investors into the masternode space. Both these coins allow technological novices to bypass this barrier.

Gincoin is the more mature coin with a functioning platform and over 2000 masternodes hosted on that platform. It requires one thousand 1000 coins, which are currently in the 4$-6$ USD range. Apollon is a younger coin, it requires 25,000 coins for a masternode and is currently trading around 15-25 cents. I think the investing decision should of course be based on your own research. But the Gincoin is obviously the more expensive coin with a working product, while Apollon’s lower price lowers another barrier to entry to investing in this segment of the cryptocurrency market.

I recommend these recent articles on these two coins:

Also this is a very good article on Apollon:

Thank for this informative article, which is full of good resources.

Nice article. I want to add MANO. They are also coming up with an easy-to-use shared masternode service which they call one-click masternode hosting service. https://manocoin.org/

So I followed the link and joined the discord.
It looks like a very promising project.
I will do an article on it and potentially start Hofling.

I also checked out MANO coin and it looks very interesting.

Its a new coin and project appears in beta, but not sure, trying to get current information on the project and price on the coin.
It definitely is a good coin to investigate, as although this service line is already supplied by Gincoin and soon to be supplied by Apollon coin this appears to be a growing niche. There are several trusted shared masternode platforms, but these three appear to be the first trustless platforms and two of them Gincoin and Apollon have cold wallet set-ups, the set-up of this third one's wallet is unclear to me.

I am unfamiliar with Mano, but I will research it now. Thanks

@shortsegments gincash or gin coin is different?

Yes they are unrelated projects. Is GinCash still alive? I think it's cancelled(?)

There is another coin called Mano coin, which proposes to provide trustless masternode set up in a one click fashion. Its a new coin and project appears in beta, but not sure, trying to get current information on the project and price on the coin.
