This is the end where we begin
To walk alone in separate paths
The end where we'll see what we should have been
If our roads have not crossed in the past
I remember it like it was yesterday --
You, and your sweet summer smile
We were both scared, but we chose to stay
To prove the world that together, we could go miles
I remember our dreams
And the promises we whispered beneath the starry sky
But when the clouds turned suddenly dim
You became distant -- like our dreams, just like the sky
Then we became stagnant
We filled hours with silence and disdain
Our fights -- my tears -- became painfully constant
While I try to save us both from the terrifying rain
But this love is killing us
And all that's left of our sanity
I've lost grip of what I wanted to last
The harmony we had once has become a cacophony
It's an obvious goodbye, one that hurts the most
I will always cherish every memory of what we have lost
Someday, maybe our paths would meet again
Would you even care to stop and tell me where you've been?
I hope you find your happiness
And that your freedom would make you feel complete
I know I'd be busy healing my scars with my tears
As I move on and walk on my bare feet.
This is the end where we begin
The part where we whisper our regrets, our goodbyes
I hope you find a home before the night comes in
Or come back here and pretend that the sun will never rise.
