Save yourself the trouble of figuring out how to read that title above. It's simply a minty carrot ginger/turmeric - packed juice , that's what I normally take a week before that time of the month. I was thinking of a "mock" ginger ale so there.
I wasn't really doing an experiment but I've decided to use those test tubes to share this with some friends just cause I wasn't sure they can manage the ginger spice in there cause here's what I put in that mix.
I actually broke one of them while I was washing them. Damn bottom's too thin the brush tip went through so I now just have three of those flower vases. Worry not for my friends, I only use them for juicing and have never really placed any cut flowers in them - I've mentioned it so many times in my blog, I prefer flowers, uncut.
Yes, you see a longer slice of turmeric, too. I don't usually cook my ginger and turmeric because when you do, you burn and kill the health benefits you are after those two so I take it raw - but it's not gross nor yucky when juiced. Let me not convince you, just go and try it.
Can you guess why I included mint in there? 5% up to the first one who could. Clue : I'm taking this only when I'm near having my period.
I think if we're investing in our financial future more so in our health aspect, agree? What good is dough if it'll just be spent in taking meds cause you've damaged your body that much eating crap of junkfood and what nots cause they look so good and tastes so good? So, I always take fruits and veggies on a daily basis.
Most of all, I bought me a slow juicer cause it helps rid the fiber and makes juicing easy peasy, you just have to cut them into pieces to fit them in your juicer and the machine sorts the fiber from the juice. This is what I take after a glass of warm water - a juice of a combi of veggies and a fruit.
No, I don't use pre-cut fruits and veggies, when you do, you're probably drinking almost dead mutilated fruits and vegetables. By the way, am not a nutritionist or a diet expert so I also just went for the taste - it has to be lip-licking - licious and this was!
I think I've written it so many times that you should at least take your juice within 20 minutes right after slicing and juicing them to maximize the amount of live enzymes in what you're taking. Yeah.. you were used to me presenting the ingredients so tidy and all. Guess what, that takes too much time so I didn't bother and just took one shot and that's it.
I need to catch up with my drink before oxidation takes place. So, if you'd ask me whether I still buy smoothies outside - oh yes, I do but not in a bottle or those that has already been sitting there for hours cause they're just as good as mineral water so why spend more on dead juice?
Near having your period and getting hormonal? Mint it! Try the combi of the ingredients I used which is just a product of what's in my kitchen. By the way, this is not an entry to one of the tags I used there.

That's an interesting juice combination ! I have a slow juicer but I've never tried to juice ginger or turmeric. I might try a ginger mix, it's good for a cold too.
thanks
yes, it is indeed
plenty of health benefits
I don't peel mine anymore
the juicer has made me save more of the nutrition I want than the hand blender I used to use :)
good luck, it may be too spicy so go easy on the ginger, the turmeric - almost not noticeable
it blends well with the rest
Thank you for posting dear @englishtchrivy.
Lovely post topic......especially with Spring right around the corner.....the photographs bring pizazz to the already jazzy combination.

it's no biggie
you probably are off now but let me wish you a peaceful holiday anyway ^ ^
That is great to experiment with different vegs and fruits and try to find the best combination. I have never used tumeric in my smoothies but I love it in my cooking. Also you made me recall the moment when I was experimenting in fruit yogurt, I took fresh plain yogurt and added mango and strawberries, did not eat that evening but in the morning. I was quite shocked how bitter was the taste of it, I still have this taste when I am writing. My son refused to eat it and I could understand him very well. I just picked up the fruits and have to dispose the yoghurt. I believe it was Mango that made this funny taste. Since then I eat Mango just separate and really enjoy it :)
thanks
I have only experienced bitterness with kiwi and yogurt
I have used mango in smoothies but with plain organic yogurt - no bittertaste at all
must be the yogurt?
but mango alone is also best
juice that is beneficial for our body, I like to post friends.
Good life, thank to share,,I like it
