The General Structure of a Resume, in my world view, should be as follows:

  1. Identification Data
  2. Education & Studies
  3. Summary
  4. Experience
  5. Relevant Training & Development

Points 1, 2 & 5 do not posed any relevant problems since they are standard issues, but it is points 3 & 4 where the level of confusion arises

Point 3, The Summary, can be developed either Top Down or Bottom Up, depending the level of knowledge you have drafting Accountabilities, but it is Point 4 which poses the greatest difficulty since people confuse Accountabilities with Activities.

Others make even worst scenario when they confuse altogether Accountabilites, Activities, Tasks, Objectives, Goals, Purposes.

Here some Examples to help clarify the issues involved:

But when we are talking about Job Descriptions in organizational environments, what is relevant and count are the concept of Accountability. The rests terms: Tasks, Activites do not apply. A Job Description must clearly defined to job to be done, or the roles to be played in exact definition of the accountabilities involved, plus the profile Parameters required for the incumbent to perform his/her duties.

Now what all this has to do with Resumes? and specifically point 4 of this post??

Well, the Section of Experience is just a recount in chronological order, present to past, of the several positions you have had with the precise description of the accountabilities of each position. So it is in your interest to learn how to draft them well or you will not be understood.

What are the Impacts & Consequences of violating the correct drafting of accountabilities?

  1. Rejection, since your Resume will not produce a FIT. In this case a Correlation of Qualitative Variables. This is the name of the game called Screening
  2. Lost of Opportunity
  3. Considerable waste of time and financial resources to ran your job search.
  4. Invisibility on Search Engines, since Recruiters & Headhunters search using KeyWords associated with accountabilities, markets, and industries.
  5. And the list goes on, an one....

Good. You are improving. I am not behind Upvotes. I am behind resteeming. Of course Upvotes are just a Bonus, and some times you get several and some cents. But again, my primary purpose on using your services is resteeming. No one guaranties that all your 2,500 followers will like what I write about, but some may be and that will be enough for me.

The 0% were just an error in the comment. It was 52%
