It's Not Over Yet! And Who The F*** Is Jeff?!
Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. - C.S. Lewis
It'd be interesting to see who of the community has been effectively voting for STEEM in the Netcoins contest so far.
What do you think would happen if the participation got displayed on the Steem blockchain? I bet we'd suddenly have a lot more stakeholders on board voting for their coin.
It's a sad reality check.
So far STEEM has received ~7,700 votes (10-19-18 1pm UTC+1) and is leading the field, being one tiny step ahead of VERGE in the competition for a free listing on the Netcoins exchange.
However, the voting closes on the 20th of October 12pm PST (=7am UTC), which means that our competitors still do have plenty of time to take over the first position.
It's not over until it's over! EDIT (1:30pm): STEEM is now ranking second. WTF!
Get your lazy, pale, geeky butts * on that website and vote for STEEM if you eventually care.
If your butt looks different than that, you're still encouraged to vote.
One for all and...
Let's prove that this is the Social Blockchain after all.
Losing this contest is definitely not an option.
I'm pretty sure you're already aware of all the sidelines that are flanking the event. Lots of community projects on Steem are rewarding users for their participation in the contest now.
This here is one of my favorites: @cryptocurator's meme contest that rewards the funniest memes related to the Netcoins challenge!
The contest is even sponsored by @oracle-d, @steemmonsters, @eroche, @creatr and @fundition who reward the best memes with amazing prizes! Here's my entry:

If you're a real Jeff, go to http://contest.gonetcoins.com/, find STEEM in the list of coins and provide it with 1 vote every 24 hours from now!
Only together we can win.
Much love & happy weekend,

I think those 7000 represent all active users on the steem blockchain.
This means 1000-2000 real active users. Yeah, I think that's it.
I guess we're more, but it's always hard to motivate everybody to participate. Most people only act based on instant rewards.
It'd be indeed interesting to know how many active accounts the average active user does leverage on a daily basis. I know that some have hundreds of accounts which they use as voting farms, however the average content creator doesn't have them.
As we all know, there are ~50K active accounts transacting daily. According to your theory, the average number of accounts per user would be 25-50 then. That's a lot in my opinion.
I told my followers that I’d have my wife throw pie in my face if they voted for Steem on Netcoins. Feel free to take a look here @surfermarly @oracle-d

Haha, that's a great way of animating one's followers :-)) Awesome efforts, Ken!
Hopefully she's gonna have reasons to throw that pie in the end. Fingers are Xed!!!
Ive been into the murky world of microworking to look for votebuyers and didnt find anything but seriously, where is this huge Verge community who are voting like crazy ?
We need more Jeff!
Wishing you your usual wet n wild weekend Marly :-)
Haha, didn't you know they're into porn? I mean VERGE. Seriously talking! I don't even want to know what type of rewards they're offering their community for the Netcoin votes, lol
Wet'n'wild... how fitting! :-D
Happy weekend, Nathen!!!
