Introducing my sons Steem Account @the-hunter
Today I set up a steem account for my 13 yro son via the @steemconnect account creation feature... I can't say it was a smooth experience...
That could be because I didn't do enough research before hand or the UI wasn't as clear as it could be however this is a barrier to onboarding new steemians.
I had trouble with who's username to use when and even though I've been on Steem almost from the start, passwords, active keys, etc are confusing which one to use where and when.
It said the account creation fee was 3 STEEM so I sent that with a little extra over to the new account but I cant see where the fee been taken out of his or my account.
Has anyone else used any other account creation process?
How was it?

I've used Steemconnect to create a few accounts. I also may have forgotten to record the master password on 2 or 3 occasions so there's a few accounts floating about with 6 Steem in them that cannot be accessed by anyone, including me.
I typically find the process quite smooth now that I know how to use it. But for a newbie, it would be very confusing for sure.
Thanks. I know I must has skipped over a step too quickly. We’ve successfully logged into his account and I’ve sent him some more Steem to power up so when we do his own intro post he’ll have plenty of power to post it.

Wow thanks for all the info. If sounds like @spunkeemonkee is going be great. There are so Mint great dApps using Steem or leveraging other data onto Steem. Sounds like you’re going to combine lots of these into a package that’s going to motivate and incentivise more engagement from the younger audiences.
I use the Steemify app on my phone to make sure i relpy to everybody. That way if i get a message i reply back when i am not working that is
I’m a big fan of steemify have been using it since it was released.
