My Introduction
Hello #steemit community! Let me introduce myself.
My name is Rufus and I'm from Singapore =)
I am a part time forex trader for about a year now and I still enjoy trading. During my free time, I would post trading ideas on potential long/short setups on my profile a platform called TradingView, which looks like this :

The method I use is called Harmonic Patterns, created by Scott Carney. This method mainly uses Fibonacci measurements to find potential long/short opportunities. The charts look rather complex and difficult to comprehend, but practice makes perfect.
How I knew about #Steem ?
I first heard about cryptocurrency in the past but I had no idea how it works.
Just few months ago, Ethereum became the hype topic among my friends.
I began to read up more on cryptocurrency, and my friend recommended me to check out Steem, which led me to steemit.
Steemit seems to work like a blog, and this will be where I will share my trading ideas too.
For those who are new to trading and are unfamiliar with technical analysis, I will be sharing some technical analysis that I have learnt as well as the current method that I'm using which is Harmonic Patterns.
If possible, I hope to open my own trading school in the future, educating all walks of life on technical analysis.
I will be mainly sharing trading ideas on cryptocurrencies and forex, hope you guys find it useful!

Hello Rufus and welcome to Steemit. I'm kind of new here on Steemit to and I'm a part-time forex trader as well. I like it, but most of the time I don't succeed. I've been doing this for about half year and I'm still learning something new every day.
Hi @grov1, nice to meet you! Trading is never easy as our emotions usually get the better of us, causing us to react against our trading rules.
Whatever trading strategy you have chose, I hope you have backtested that strategy. Getting positive results from your own backtesting increases your confidence in using that strategy. Once you apply on your live account, you might want to begin with a smaller lot size and start a trading journal.
The trading journal will be your reference to what you did right/wrong for your winning/losing trades. You will gradually improve yourself from there.
