What size of photo should I publish on my social networks?

Have you ever wondered what size of images I need to share on social networks. Some think that sharing an image with a single size suffices, however you have to be clear that not all sizes have the same results in social networks. 8 years ago I used to share vertical images on Facebook because I did not know what the perfect measurement, over time I realized that in this social network, horizontal images look better and cause better reaction among users.

Some think that the size of images on social networks does not matter, so they only create one and share it in that way in them. Now with this I do not want to tell you that you have to create an image for each social network, the best we can use are templates to create an idea when designing.

There are two tools that I love and use in my daily life, they are: Canva and Picmonkey. Both are free, however it also has a paid version.

This size is perfect to use as a thumbnail is Youtube as well as to use as a cover photo for your blog posts. Even for Steemit.

We know that vertical images are the best for social networks like Pinterest or Tumblr. The perfect size influences the traffic of your blog when you share it in different social networks.

For those using Instagram, this is the ideal size because it is square. This size also looks perfect on other social networks.

We all know that Facebook has a million rules on the platform, this includes the size of photos when you create an ad or when you share a blog post.

Some images will look good as others do not, this is the size they require when you share an image.
There is no excuse for not creating a perfect image and sharing on social networks. The ideal thing to share content is to achieve the ultimate goal, which is to create some feedback from users, that is why images are important today.
