Hey STEEM! I'm JSTJR- a music producer + DJ from Los Angeles.

Super excited to join the community. I live in LA and work as a music producer and DJ. I'll be playing at EDC Las Vegas this weekend and heading off on a tour of China and South Korea next month! I started making dance music about 5 years ago, but have always been a musician and have a bachelors degree in classical percussion. Oh yeah - JSTJR is pronounced "GESTURE."

A couple years ago, I worked on Major Lazer's album "Peace is the Mission". I was living in New Hampshire and decided it was time to move to LA and pursue music full time. Six months later, I was ranked one of the 20 Best DJs in LA by LA Weekly and started a party called pluggedin.la. My latest achievement is my 3-part music video for my EP NEVER SQUAD DOWN. I wrote and co-directed a 3 part .music video.
My passion is for global club music. I love to find new and interesting sounds from the club scenes around the world and incorporate them into my own music. I have worked and DJ'd in Brazil and find a lot of inspiration from their sounds. The newest and coolest sounds are coming from South America and Africa!
When I'm not working on music or touring, I'm probably cooking or working on some other DIY food project. I love to brew beer, make kimchi, kombucha, you name it. I just LOVE creating THINGS, stuff, food, music, drinks, whatever.
I'm here to share my passion for music, food, cryptocurrency and life in general. Also, to learn more about cryptocurrency and future technologies. I'm SUPER interested in the connection between the future of the music business and block chain technology. Maybe in the future, I will use this as a platform for exclusive releases or updates.
