Goat Girlz is on Steemit!
I love goats and all things goat related. I would like to use this platform to share stories about goats. I have had goats for seven years and they have taken over my life. That's not a complaint. I have learned more about human behavior and relationships from my four legged friends than I thought was possible.
For the last three years I have been renting out goats to clear brush. Here in Northwest Oregon everything that stands still for more than fifteen minutes will get covered in blackberries. Goats love blackberries and will eat them all day. They also eat lots of other invasive weeds, like ivy and thistles.
I'm looking forward to using this platform to share my experiences with goats and hopefully hear from some of you about yours!

Thank you! It's backbreaking work a lot of the time. I keep my chiropractor employed! I get to spend a lot of my time with goats, though, which makes it all worthwhile.
Wow! That sure is love. These days, it seems a lot of folks working with the land and animals wouldn't do it if they didn't find a lot of love or value in it. I'm glad to hear the goats are helping with your quality of life!
I don't think you could do it without love. Have you heard the joke about how to end up with a million dollars from farming? Start with two million. Nobody I know is getting rich from our way of life. It's the way of life itself that provides the riches.
LOL I love that joke! I think i might have heard an expression somewhere like dirt rich and pocket poor.

Ugh, I want goats so bad! I have lots of bramble but the hubs refuses to allow me a furry, little goat friend. I shall live vicariously through you for now! So double up on the pics, especially babies :)
He should absolutely let you have a couple of goats! He will fall in love with them too. My husband won't let me have a miniature donkey. Boys are so mean. Your mom tells me you have chickens. We have way too many. I can send you some roosters in the mail if you need more. I will post more baby goat pictures. We don't have any pregnant does this year but I have many, many pictures from previous seasons!
Awww! A mini donkey would be so fun! And boys are mean.... They think in terms of "feed costs" and "time spent".... ugh..... And we had 40 chickens but have lost some. I plan on breeding my White rock hen and Rhode Island Rooster to get meat roos and laying hens. They are called Gold Sex Links. :)
I think we spend more on animal feed than we do on people food. How much could a mini donkey eat anyway? They're mini! We currently have about 12 roosters, which is really pushing it. Several of them will be heading to freezer camp soon. Here's a baby goat pic for you.
