Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 18 entry

This is my entry for round 18 of IFC :)
https://steemit.com/contest/@apolymask/information-finding-championship-season-1-round-18

I am pretty terrible when it comes to writing contests, but since I am asking people to participate and get out of their comfort zone then I really should be doing the same as well :p

My four sentences, starting with A

Anyone asking an artist about aspirations always arrives at an anomaly:
Ambitions are assumed, albeit appalled and avoided at all answers.
All anticipating attention as artworks are available.
Alas aggrieved artists are all around, aimlessly asking... alms anyone?

My suggestion for a slogan - as a chiasmus

The game to challenge the mind if you don't mind the challenge.
To win you must play fair, and fairly soon you'll find the winning play!

Some suggestions for improvement

I made some pixel art for the relics/artifacts:

Upvoted! One of the things that’s fun about this contest are the alternate worlds you start to imagine from reading these posts, such as those poor alms-seeking artists encountering their acrimonious aunts and ant-eating aardvarks...

I really like this one— I’m glad you decided to enter :)

Thanks for the kind comments and nice to see you enjoying the IFC as well. It took me quite some time to get the 4 sentences, but a lot easier to get another chiasmus down :)

You're very welcome. I didn't realize you had written a chiasmus, let alone additional chiasmuses :) I'd love to read yours Do you have a link? I didn't see them on your feed but maybe had to dig a little deeper.

Here's mine. I missed the deadline so I didn't officially submit but shared with @moneyinfant:

Steem is full of bots and the bots are full of steam.

You can submit it in the next edition of my chiasmus challenge :)

I think what I like about chiasmuses is that we normally don't think about the structure of our words and sentences (as we would on a more macroscopic scale like an essay), and by looking closer into things you learn a lot about the details that we normally overlook.

Dr Mardy Grothe's book "Never let a fool kiss you or a kiss fool you" was what started it all for me, and you can find more of his writing at: http://www.drmardy.com/

Oh I will check it out and keep my eye on your contests. You’ve been so helpful — thanks again :)

Awesome as always!

I love this entry! I also love the new @kryptocek's shield it will look awesome on the board!

I also thought about a map to link all the rounds (quests and side quests together) like this website:
https://www.clubpenguinsaraapril.com/2012/05/quest-map-bug.html

So you can also show the relics along with the quests and maybe have the current/active rounds highlighted. That just means you don't have to look through all the posts and can simply update the map! That's going to take a little bit more time to figure out :p

A map would be pretty awesome! There has to be a digital cartographer around steemit!!! That would be an awesome round for the digital artists!!!

I thought that one of the recent challenges where you have to find things would also be really interesting to put up on Steemit World Map (http://www.steemitworldmap.com/). The poetry round I hope will introduce more people to IFC, and I'll have to see if I can find a cartographer on Steemit or not :)

I've got to say this round has been very entertaining! Great entry @plushzilla! And the relics/artifacts, awesome job!

Thanks for the comments :) I am still figuring out how to do the other relics/artifacts, and I also suggested that we might be able to do a quest map of some sort to keep track of the bonus rounds etc.

A quest map sounds epic! I like that idea!

The game to challenge the mind if you don't mind the challenge.
To win you must play fair, and fairly soon you'll find the winning play!

Great slogan! Thank you for this entry! Good Luck!

I like to put my trust in a good chiasmus :D

I had to look up a new word thanks @plushzilla ~Charisma777

Loved your entry! The wordplay was great, and also I really liked this slogan.

The game to challenge the mind if you don't mind the challenge.

That's awesome! Great slogan! Thanks for the entry plush! :)

I have been trying to get a few others to think in 'chiasmus' as well lately, and good to see a few new faces in the recent entries as well which is great! Still looking for that elusive sponsor but will keep working on it :)

I like the synergy between @newbiegames, @asapers, @helpie and @ifc!

I, like the others are glad of your entry. I liked the A words they are great. The slogan: "The game to challenge the mind if you don't mind the challenge." is great also. And I am glad to see someone fixing the shield. I went and looked at the other Iconic works, and i think they bring a nice since of old style RPG to the game, I have started looking at IFC as more of a game than a contest oh, I don't know about round 3 I think. And all the new people joining.

I looked on google at that "chiasmus", I never really knew what it was, I don't know if the teach me round is still going, but that would be a great entry, then in the final 16 rounds maybe @IFC could have a "chiasmus" round.

I spent all my time on those pixel art so I didn't look at the teach me round. But there is also the How To contest by @aoart that I think many people on IFC might enjoy entering as well. I like initiatives that get people learning or sharing with other Steemians :)

I find your entry the best for this round. You have my vote.

Thank you so much for the vote! I enjoyed this round because at least it was sentences and not poetry (which I absolutely have no idea how to write... except maybe for free verse :p). I hope you enjoyed being a guest judge for this round :)

I actually enjoyed this round, I'm not a guest judge though.

You have somehow made it so that your speaking properly unlike the other ones where they had to remove some words great work you have my vote

Thanks for the vote! It definitely wasn't easy so I am glad you enjoyed it :)

I'm voting for this one. I think it lined up the best. And I liked your choice of words as well. :) Great entry!

Thanks for the vote. I haven't been able to find the right post for the recent rounds, but luckily my efforts on the previous rounds have been well received :)
