Karachi the city of Lights, is the industrial hub of Pakistan where most of the working class citizens of Pakistan live. The city is paradise for foodies looking for Pakistani cuisine, I mean wherever you go you’ll find crazy foods going around, I’ll come to that later but first once you cross the Jinnah Terminal you have to visit the historical monuments. Such as the tomb of The Father of the Nation, Quaid E Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is in Saddar the city center, and then there is Frere Hall made before the independence of Pakistan which is in the vicinity also near by is the Mohatta palace a historical place where the former Lord used to live during the British Rule.

While you are in Saddar you can observe the busy lifestyle of Karachi the best, small markets called (Bazaars) are set up along many of the areas most of these markets are over 50-60 years old, with second and third generation owners running them, these include the Borhi bazaar for everything that is used in daily life, from kitchen utensils to clothes everything is sold here, Light house is famous for selling first copy shoes and clothing where you could find cheap branded clothes for sure, then there is Jama cloth Market for Ladies clothes I mean there are so many traditional clothes there and then there are Men suit tailors they are highly skilled and as well as cheap for the best pocket friendly formal Suits, The electronic market has all the appliances from PS4, mobiles to Fridges and TV’s. At the end there is Urdu Bazaar where second hand books are available the market is a dream for book lovers, you can buy anything in the markets of Saddar.

Not only is it great for shopping but there are so many food stalls to fulfill your food craving, Burns Road is famous for it’s Bun Kababs which are a type of Desi Burger and Lassi which is kind of a shake but way better. Ofcourse there is Biryani I mean there are so many great Biryani places in Karachi that I’ll need a separate blog to name them all oh the choices are vast you can eat amazing biryani from different places for more than a couple of weeks. After you have taken in all that is going on within Saddar lets move on to different area.

Clifton Karachi is all about that lavish lifestyle, it’s like the downtown of Karachi moving from historical sights and small conjusted markets, to these huge shopping malls and entertainment centers, it has it all for your shopping needs the brands are everywhere. There are cinemas and amusement parks for entertainment and cafes for the night long chilling. But most importantly Clifton is connected to the beach Karachi is home to the sea which it is very proud of and you can have a great outing there. Have Camel rides eat some snacks by the seashore and just enjoy the beautiful sunset. There are also some spots where most of the public is unaware of you can enjoy some quality time there away from all the hassle.

Then there is Charna Island a few kilometers from the coast of Karachi you can get a package there for snorkeling and scuba diving there are some great spots to scuba dive there, you can also hire a boat and fish there for the whole day. If you like hilly areas then there is Gorakh Hills which is 4-5 hours drive from Karachi you could camp for the night there and enjoy the rugged scenary it has to offer, I’m sure you will enjoy the time spent there.

In my view the most special and attractive aspect of Karachi is it’s people there are so many cultures living within this city, so many different types of foods, clothing, and languages but we are all united under one city and one country Pakistan. Tourists will really enjoy the hospitality of the people here and if any steemian plans on visiting Karachi my house is open for you. The guest room is always ready you can stay for as long as you like. Cheers and visit Pakistan one day you’ll love the place.

Sorry to point it out but I don't think we as contestants are allowed to use copyrighted images. I think @apolymask has reminded you of this fact before too.

I kindly suggest that you use some original photos because it might be difficult for him to consider your entry as a valid one otherwise.

Yeah but shutterstock is free to download right, is it not I got them from a link on pixabay.

I guess this explains the first two images, the other two are originals

The picture you posted says it gives rights to shutterstock, not to everyone else. You have to purchase them from shutterstock in order to get the rights that's why they have watermarks on them to try to discourage or prevent people from using them without paying for them.

The other two images which you didn't include a source for and claimed are original I was not able to find in a reverse image search so it looks like you're alright there except can I ask who filmed them? Was it you? Or someone else who you got the permission of to use them?

Yeah it's my first cousin he takes some amazing pics just for fun, I got them from him, so I'll be removing the first two puctures then.

Okey doke, sounds good and I see. Thanks for clarifying. I would ask that next time you please try to source the images, even if it's just to say something below that says "My cousin took this" it would be better to share his name too, unless he wants to remain anonymous and doesn't want his name shared.

I would gladly his name is Anas, although he doesn't shoot for public forum it's really kind of for fun. I'll share his page if he makes one.

Karachi seems like an awesome place! I bet there's some great food and stuff to see and do! Charna Island and Gorakh Hills sound pretty cool as well! Reading your blog post definitely made me want to visit and check it out.

It's been a while and I'm tight on money at the moment but maybe some day! I think that's awesome how you offered to let someone stay in your guest house. I'll definitely consider that if I ever plan a trip to the area! You seem like a good soul and someone I'd like to meet in person if I ever got the chance.

Those are some great pictures you included as well. Your cousin is a great photographer! And the first one from pixabay is nice too! Sure looks like some beautiful and interesting areas.

Excellent entry shaheerbari! I loved it and I have a feeling at least one of my 3 votes for this round is going to this entry. Peace!

Thanks, I hope you visit Karachi one day I would gladly be your host. Yeah my cousin does some amazing work as a photographer. Thanks for the support
