Coming Home - An Original Song by Joe Breheny "IFC S1 R38 entry"
I wrote the song Coming Home back in 2002 as an ode to overcoming personal setbacks and addiction. This song was a sort of coming of age song for me after coming through some pretty dark years. The lyrics are heavy on self motivation and creating a new life for my self.
I chose the picture of my son Nick as he has always been one of my biggest motivators.

This feeling cuts me to the bone
Take a number, sit down boy and wait for your dreams to come true
Look around, open up your eyes, don’t tell me that’s the best you can do

Welcome to your new life boy, take care of yourself and you will find joy

Is that you actually singing? If it is, you've got a very nice voice. :D Who's the other singer? Are you playing one of the instruments? Being a parent is never easy, there are always challenges, some tougher than others, thankfully you got yourself together for your son and for yourself. :D

Awesome sentiment. It's amazing to be a parent. It turns an ordinary human into a hero.
What a great way to put it @wholeself-in, although I don't always feel like a hero I know that in his eyes I am.
I have been telling @jbreheny who is my husband he has a nice voice for over 20 years. He has many songs and they are all beautiful.
I was finally able to listen to it without buffering from hell problems, vey nice tune, and melody, you should take my song entry and jingle and make it a song, I think Ed Privit is pretty busy these days.

Ed Privat is @edprivat, he is a singer songwriter, he was going to take my lyrics and build it into a song, along the lines of grateful dead style for me. But he is a pretty busy person, but a real musician.

I saw that, and still interested in hearing your version of my little song and didee. I just thought that if @jbrheny was interested, it would be pretty cool also, tow different versions so to speak.
I have been thinking about the Lyric contest also for a new tune. I hope to have something in a few days, but not sure yet, writing is not easy sometimes.

I just got back online after 3 days in a true dead zone. I will definitely check it out. Also am following @edprivat as well and will be checking out some of his stuff.
Although anything I was to submit would probably be a raw video version as I am not proficient in any type of recording software.
