NANOHEALTHCARE Project is using the blockchain to build a global, decentralized Health and wellness ecosystem.
The Nanohealthcare project have been around since 2014. Winning the prestigious HULT Prize and the Clinton Global Initiative recognition for the Best Solution to tackle Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like Diabetes, Hypertension and Obesity. As the world advances in technology, the team wishes to Improve the project by implementing it on the blockchain platform to give it a global overview.

What are the Challenges facing the Healthcare system?
According the article by Businesslive.co.za, it is believed that the challenges facing our healthcare system are structural not Clinical. In Africa for Example,
Quality Healthcare services are meant for the Rich. Affordable and access to high quality healthcare is meant for the wealth citizens. The poor can only afford the public healthcare services which offers poor services and low number of staffs. The Public health facilities remain the only option for the poor and middle class who do not have private health insurance. The Challenges are:

1. Systematic Challenges :
   Our health system is Based on finding the cure based on symptoms instead of providing preventive-care. Our medical practitioners are ill-equipped providing a healthcare solution which is focused on acute care.
   This problem is further aggravated when we look at changing patterns in life expectancy and disease trends. Despite increased life expectancy, there is a relative increase in premature deaths, as many people die from communicable and Non-communicable, maternal, neonatal and nutritional diseases and injuries.
   So, there is a desperate need to offer long-lasting care to patients which can only be achieved through building a proactive and continuous care, management solution which NanoHealthcare has excelled in creating and implementing. Also, Patients should expect a fast pace in healthcare delivery services. Healthcare leaders Must devise ways to meet patients demand while maintaining cultures of healing and stable business operations.
2. Technical Challenges:
   
   The need to have a centralized database to access all data relating to the healthcare. Currently medical data is dispersed and not easily accessible.
   Records are stored are different places and different databases. Information relating an individual health record is a huge challenge. With an ever-increasing data spread, getting the requisite information on time becomes more challenging.
3. Data Sharing :
   A recent study shows that an estimated saving of $78billions can be gotten annually if data exchange were utilized across the healthcare sector.
   Unfortunately, the sharing of healthcare data has been constrained by workflow issues, differences in technologies and vendor fees. Lack of interoperability affects quality of patient care because it may lead to false diagnosis, inappropriate prescriptions and incorrect treatment of a disease.
4. Transaction costs :
   Cost to services are high due to intermediaries. A huge amount of money been wasted due to inefficient payment processing.
5. Complex Billing and claims :
   Late arrivals of bills and claims:The reconciliation process takes a long time due the patient not been able to understand what he or she is paying for.

This project has built and tested its app-based technology solution with over 75,000 users in the past 3 years. It has a proven AL Based recommendation engine which can recommend the next best actions for preventive cure based on the risk profile of a user.
There will be a Decentralized Storage. This is where the Blockchain technology places a Key role. This will foster data security because Medical data is Highly confidential and needs protection from unauthorized users. This will also enhances the speed and efficiency of data access and availability when it is needed.
NHCT ICO:
The NHCT ICO will run to raise fund which will be used to enhance the development of the Project. The platform been used to design the NHCT Tokens is the Ethereum blockchain platform.
