Hello fellow crypto- maniacs..,

I have recently gained more and more interests in blockchain based technology and companies. So my fingers were itching to write something about one of my first ICO and blockchain companies that got me excited.

2 weeks ago I was searching the internet for a medical orientated blockchain- coin company and stumbled on BowheadHealth.
It got me excited,...very excited. I'll explain why after, a short quasi- serious statement, to make the goal of bowhead even more clear in my opinion:

The First:

In this day and age, where living healthy is " HOT "! You see, hear and read so much healthy advertising, products, and solutions. Of which at least 50% of them are more marketing and don't help you that much, to be honest.

The average 16-year-old looks like a baby Arnold Schwarzenegger (here in the Netherlands at least) and knows more about eating grass and living on pills than my own doctor.

Furthermore the vitamin and supplement market is completely uncontrolled. That market alone is worth about 270 billion a year globally, according to recent studies.

The Second:

Pharmaceutical companies have pretty much a monopoly on what we get and most important at what price. They control our data... they use our data... they share your data and store it.
That last phrase is key "in a nutshell for me". It isn't a sustainable model, recent malware attacks on hospitals worldwide have reiterated that point.

Okay having said that now my review:

What Bowheadhealth aims to do is easy to explain and has great potential. It is the first tangible medical product based on blockchain technology.
In a more digital and centralized world, where sharing and storing your data is harder and harder to achieve. The blockchain can be a complete and secure solution in my opinion.
It is unhackable ( for now ) but "most important you yourself" are in control". Doctors can remotely monitor a patient. Medical research can be done via the blockchain and remotely.
And the best of it all, you control who accesses your data. You get paid for sharing your data. You get the perfect dosage and balance of vitamins and supplements.

A future goal is to also incorporate medicine into their product. They have to wait for FDA approval for that. They stated a timeframe for it in their whitepaper.

The product they developed is basically the first i-pod that Apple launched. This is how it works:

1. User provides a blood prick (similar to a glucose test) or saliva sample
2. User inserts cartridge into the side of the device
3. Bowhead device uses computer vision to determine reagent strength and signal
4. Based on reading: licensed doctors can provide input and dispense occurs
5. All signals monitored securely and stored using Blockchain technology

It's has working apps for Android and IOS. The market they are tapping into is huge and can use a lot of improvement.
Break the current centralized monopoly and give new purpose to the medical world. They have a working prototype already and the team behind it is active and seems very capable.
The timeline they have set seems decent and realistic. The product itself can be used in a variety of directions. Wich means multiple markets and therefore revenue and adoption.

To summarize, I'll keep an eye on the project and join in when their ICO hits the market.
