My experience in Hong Kong // A Gwaizai or maybe already Gweilo ^^ in Hong Kong // FOOD -Dim Sum Part I
Hi all,
I just wanna share my great experience with the food in Hong Kong. Before my first visit in Dec. 2016 I even couldn´t imagine about the diversity and the delicious and genius food in Hong Kong. Im from Europe and I really need to admit, that this was my best "foodporn" experience in my life. Especially after I got some different food allergies some years ago. So I can not eat things like parsley, celery and a lot more.
Arrived in Hong Kong my gf brang me to my first Dim Sum experience. My first real Asian food was like a dance of colors inside my mouth. a true coming culinary delight and I couldnt stop smiling for hours after eating this good looking and super fantastic snack.
The meaning of the Name "Dims Sum" is true, it means something like "touching heart", like "small delicious snacks, which touch your heart". Indeed, it did :)
I think I remember that this kind of Dim Sum is called Xiaolongbao and its also a kind of "dumpling". I will attach for you a picture I have taken that time!
If u like this kind of blog, give me a feedback and the next part will be about more different Dim Sum eaten in a traditional chinese restaurant in Hong Kong and the surprises which awaited me there.
Thank you taking a look on my article. I appreciate every viewer.
Hello there welcome to hong kong, i am bored and raised there even i am living in another country now, i still miss hong kong and ofcourse the dim sum. As you are guai lo, i need to ask you whether you have tried the chicken feet? As i know.most of the guai lo will avoid that :)
Hi, tthx for your comment. To be honest I didn´t try the chicken feet. But I tried the 炸大腸 (I dunno the english name)
And I really love Durian and the Durian buns
Wow i cannot a foreigner will try that (fry pig instestine basically), because even some locals will find it dirty but you may run in to a shop where they clean it in a very good way so this is ok
Hong kong basically so good in mixing fruits into different foods. Durian is really good as well as mango.
I hope you enjoy hk :)
