SEC-S16W2 | Solo vs Group in Travel | Group Travels
Hello everyone, it's been quite a while but I am glad to be here again. What better way than diving into this our prestigious contest? I am here with my entry for the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 16 Week 2, in the Traveling Steem Community. I'd like to invite @beautiful12, @yolvijrm, @majerius, @bongk, @sahmie, and @slon21veka to come partake in this contest.

Despite being a great fan of quiet moments, I do not desire complete tranquility when set out for a trip. Having said that, it is obvious that I lean more towards group travels. Come to think of it, almost all my travels around the country is work related and as such; group traveling is always the option. I am also a lover of private transport whereas I do not know how to drive, so having someone within the group eliminates public transportation for me. Below are some advantages and disadvantages relating to my choice.

This is infact a very straightforward question. It goes without saying much that on solo travels, one spends lesser in total, compared to the total expenses incurred from group traveling expenses. If I were to travel solo, I will strategize accordingly to how much I can afford to spend on the said trip. However, group traveling consist of varying choices, dietary, and much more. Some even have larger accounts than others. Having said all these and listing out a few things to consider, group traveling expenses always total at least 5 times that of my solo traveling expenses. On my own, I can decide not to eat at random times of the day, thus spending less. But this isn't possible when traveling in a group, I would feel left out if others are eating and I am just watching; I'd at least buy a bottle of drink or water. I hope you get the point I'm trying to make.

To be honest with you all, I have 2 groups of people at the top of my preference chart which I would prefer over others. The first is my mum and little siblings, followed by my colleagues with whom I presently travel with, and last but not least is my brother's and sisters from church. Even though I have never gone on group travels with them yet, it is something I'd very much love to do some day.

I have group traveled to a couple of good spots, and from my experiences I'd quickly recommend a few of those spots for you all to try it some day. Least I forget, my country is in Africa, and I will be including what3word links to ease your searches.

For this spot, it has the calmest breeze from the see. It is located in the Southwest Region of Cameroon, in a beautiful city called Limbe
Botanic Garden:
The Botanic Garden is also a fascinating spot to visit with friends, family members and colleagues. It is calm and peaceful with healthy plants that have been around for 10 to 100 years now. It is one of the pride in the city of Limbe.
I chose to pick spots from this beautiful town because it is indeed a town of friendship as it's slogan rightly spells out.

Traveling in groups or alone each has its good sides and bad sides.
An example of the positive side is if we go with a group, as you said above, we can joke and play happily with the group or family who are going on the trip.
The bad side, for example, if we go with a group, our freedom is limited, because we have to go to a place that has been planned, before traveling. For example, to the sea, then we have to follow that route.
Not having a lot of freedom, I think freedom on a journey is very important, because with freedom we get satisfaction on the journey.

Yes, that's right. As you said, the beach is the right place if we go with a group or family.
For me, the sea is a romantic place to be with family, because many people, especially Acehnese, often spend their weekends on the beach.

Hello @b-naj ,hope your day is going well and its good that you like traveling with others more than going alone. When you travel in a group it's fun to chat and share driving.
But sometimes you have to agree on things and deal with different driving styles. Traveling alone is cheaper because you can control your spending but with a group costs can add up fast especially if everyone wants different things.
You'd like to travel with your family, colleagues, and church friends. They're your top choices for travel buddies,you've been to some great places in Africa with your groups and yes there are many beautiful spots to explore., really enjoyed reading your blog wish you success 💖🤗🌸💞🌺.

Even though you enjoy quiet moments, you don't necessarily want complete tranquility when you go on a trip. It sounds like you prefer the company and energy that comes with traveling in a group. Travelling alone most times really amazing because we will have maximum privacy and our journey will be very calm and awesome. Although travelling alone does have it's own disadvantages am sure you will be aware of.
