Putting up a good behaviour in public is no easy but essential. Aesthetic you know is evident by its behaviour.

Hi ladies, this is @Kay-owobia, it's a pleasure to have you again on journey to aesthetics this sunday night from my end. Today, we'll talk about some awkward characters that threaten your aesthetics in the public and when were on the road. we'll see in different dimensions how to get it of them. So let's get started already.

first timer

First, let's talk about when we walk into a place for the first time.something Nigerians would called Johnny just come (JJC).

I remember a tweet where a slipper was captured just outside an elevator. That was really hilarious but embarrassing at the long run especially if you were accompanying such person. Another incident is when a women got scared of a rotating door.

Imagine after slaying with your pretty outfit and silhouette you happen to become a victim of that. Its sure gonna be a sad tale
So here's the suggestion;

  • Ask people of where you are headed.

Though people have fallen victim of scam and fraud while seeking help to where they are headed. It's always best to ask close friends and relatives about the place you are heading to, its features and probably facilities, what you'll expect and more.

  • If you don't particularly have anyone to ask or the people you asked have little or even no knowledge about it. This is what to do, I heard google answers more than 30million questions and I'm sure there can be some help there, either to locate it on the map or give you a preface or picture of where you are headed. You could also browse things you might encounter there as well, *But please, do not be a JJC.

  • Its most advisable to go out with an already experienced person. So you won't be stressed finding your way around or activities you should do. You'll have a real and personal guide before you. Just if the person is willing anyways.

  • Resturants

Now, let's talk about that restaurant and bar attitude.
You just walked into your favourite eatery and you requested for a plate of noodles, but probably the person waiting on you left you a spoon only without a fork. Would you spring out and call the waiter, or would you patiently and calmly request for a fork?. Now that's the right attitude to be aesthetics, but theres more.

After being served your noodles, you were ofcourse very famished. So, you used your fork buried your head in the plate slumped the noodles and if its overly delicious you'd probably literally lick the plates.

Now that's awful. Or before eating do you pull off your shoes once you are settled? And do you put your bag where someone else should rather sit?
Let's see out some suggestions;

  • Be kind to those whom you meet. No matter where you meet them even if it's at a bar or restaurant.

  • Eat in an orderly manner. I'm not saying pretend but at least do not slurp noodles in public. Slurping is that stuff you do when you have one noodle hanging over your lips,so you squeeze your cheeks and pull it in. Be orderly. Slurping isnt aesthetic.

  • Did a food just fall? Ouch. Falling food to the ground while eating can be frustrating but a thousand people walked that place and a thousand other filthy things. Many people do pick up fallen meats and others. But honestly, the way mama trained me?
    Germs and bacteria are everywhere don't pick fallen food no matter how expensive. Prioritize your health

  • Many after eating have left overs on their clothes. Shake yourself well and avoid ruining you outfit with stains. You can use a towel or bib hanged round your neck to prevent those stains.

  • Dont forget your table manners-dont talk while eating but if you must, youd be carry you dont bite a lip or tongue and avoid being choked. Do not belch on the table
    I see many do that and it gets very irritating.

  • If you don't feel like what you are served, avoid using your spoon to turn the food inconsistently. It's better declined than end up in the bin or being messed up in the plate.

  • Do not scatter the food especially grains. Controll your kids not to do that too as it will litre the place you sit and dont forget to drink water before eating.

For an extra, if you happen to chew gums in public or private. Do not blow bubbles or make sounds with it. Chewable gums should be a matter of the teeth and mouth and not lips

On the road

On the road, we may tend to do lots of stuffs like dropping things or stepping on items. Neither is it proper to pick things that isnt ours.

I remember the experience of a group of young boys that put some money on a road waiting for who to carry it. Unfortunately, it was some elderly man and he lost his respect to small boys who dragged him to return their money.

Little things can make is us loose our respect and aesthetics, so it's better to be on the guard.
Let's see suggestions

  • Do not step on items or kick them unnecessarily

  • Do not take things not yours

  • Do not spit saliva incessantly. You could cover it with sand whenever you do that.

  • Do not drip waterproofs or papers on the road. It litres it and not aesthetic.

Having said a lot about aesthetic actions from this weeks episode. Hopefully hope to make little readjustment to grow our aesthetic.see you on episode 12 next week where we'lltalksome more on aesthetics in other areas of our lives.
