In the heart of the bustling city center, the streets pulsate with life, there is a zone that guarantees a momentary escape from the hustle and bustle. This is the pedestrian zone, full of charming shops, boutiques, cafes. And right here, I find a simple joy that takes me back to childhood - creamy ice cream in a cone. As I walked the streets, I enjoyed how the sun cast its golden rays on the old stone facades, illuminating them with a warm, soft light.

The photo I'm posting makes you feel sad on the one hand but on the other it's a sign of the times that are passing. Trevi Fountain, Rome, one of the most iconic places in the world. No tourist passing through the capital misses a visit to the fountain. Today, however, next to it, I suppose the municipal administration (this or some past one) has placed a
machine for changing banknotes into small change.

Recently, I thought that I pay too little attention to the image of my hometown. And then I had the idea to create a cycle of landscape watercolor works, where there would be views of streets, parks, and some remarkable buildings. This work with a view of the train station was the first to appear. Inexpensive and not very thick paper was used in this watercolor, and a mixed technique using whitewash was also used.

Название той деревни, дома которой я начал показывать в прошлом посте - Мроткино. Мне не удалось исследовать все уголки этого чудесного места. Дела отвлекали от фотографии. Но думаю ... я мог бы жить здесь до конца своих дней.
The name of the village, where I began to show my post in the past is Mrotkino. I was not able to explore all the corners of this wonderful place. Cases distracted from photography. But I think ... I could live here until the end of my days.

Lately, I have not has as much time as usual to keep up with my writing and blogging. In a general sort of sense, this is tied to the simple need to "make a living," which requires me to put in the hours at doing thing elsewhere. Car repairs and other unforeseen expenses are unwelcome guests at the best of times, but particularly so for the self-employed, whose income is often measured not in terms of a "regular paycheck" but in terms of effort and hours expended.
