Leaf grasshoppers are part of the tettiigonidae family which are characterized by wide and flat wings, and also have strong grasshopper legs that enable them to jump well. Apart from that, these grasshoppers also have long atenas, a unique mouth which functions to chew food, especially fresh young leaves from various types of plants, both wild plants and plants cultivated by farmers.

The cycle of leaf grasshoppers starts from eggs that hatch into nymphs, and then these nymphs have several changes of skin before becoming adult grasshoppers, in science this change is called incomplete "metamorphosis", because the nymphs look like mini versions of adult grasshoppers just because it doesn't have fully developed wings.

Leaf grasshoppers have an important role in the ecosystem, they control plant growth by eating young leaves, and these grasshoppers are also part of the food chain for predators, hunters and birds, but it is also important to understand that large populations of grasshoppers can be very destructive pests. for plants that are cultivated significantly, so controlling their population numbers is very important, especially for those of you who work as farmers.
