Sunset by the river and a friendly boat race.

Some days the wind was so strong that we thought there might be a storm. But I thought a UFO might be trying to find a good landing place. The landing is so had at the back of my garden seemed to be too small that’s probably why they never visited my house. So, I had to stop my thoughts from flying in all directions by going out for a walk by the river.

I was lucky the sunset was quite beautiful and I caught a friendly local boat race. These youngsters were practicing for the real boat race in a few months time. It’s tough rowing against the strong river current. They used to practice in the evening quite often but I rarely saw them lately. So, I was glad to catch them by chance.

Life is simple around the village and fishermen’s village. Many people grow their own vegetables and farmers still grow rice for their own consumption. So, we could buy vegetables, fish and rice from local villagers from time to time.

Hopefully, investors wouldn’t be buying land from villagers any more, though several nice plots of land had been bought and turned into trendy restaurants with beautiful lightings in the evening. I wondered when they could break even, so I guessed that’s one way to do laundry with excess money.

I pray that there wound be no world war so that simple and slow lifestyle could carry on peacefully as always.
