Orchids in my garden like the cool winter month.

As I was walking around my garden picking up broken branches from the ground, I noticed many new orchid blossoms on tree trunks. I was quite surprised by these sudden blooming orchids. I thought they were going to have a rest this year as we had experienced several windy rain storms. So, I was very happy to see lots of orchids which brighten up my garden.

I bought a small orchid in a pot almost ten years ago from a nice elderly vendor in a flea market. She was very nice so I bought the small pot of orchids from her. At that time, there was no flowers yet, only several green leaves and stem.

They grew up very fast and bursted the clay pot. So, I had to take them out of the pot and attach them on tree trunks. They did very well on the tree trunks. Some friends asked for bits of these orchids to grow in their garden. I guess I should propagate these orchids and sell them in small pots one day.

The surprising thing was that the white orchids just appeared out of nowhere. This mixture of deep purple, pale purple and white orchids made the whole bunch very beautiful and interesting. I hope that the winter weather would not become too cold. If the sun shines brightly, the cold weather would be perfect for working in the garden.

We have lots of work to do in the garden. The forest trees would be shedding their leaves so sweeping up dry leaves would take a lot of time. The earth would be quite dry so we have to water the plants every week too. This physical exercise would be good for our health and mind too.

Time changes and seasons moves along the natural cycles. Being close to nature is very good for my body and spirit!
