TURKO a la Kill Bill - ESPAÑOL/ENGLISH

La tarde se ahogaba en las calles desiertas.
El Turco se recostó en su silla y se dejó abrazar por Morfeo.
Enseguida los espectros se abalanzaron sobre su ordenado ejército. Nada pudo hacer por salvarlo, sus gritos huecos no llegaban a las tropas. El campo de batalla se tiño de sangre, ríos de sangre; la de sus hombres, que corría eternamente hacia el océano.

The afternoon was drowning in the deserted streets.
The Turk leaned back in his chair and let himself be embraced by Morpheus.
At once the specters swooped down on his orderly army. There was nothing he could do to save them, his hollow cries could not reach the troops. The battlefield was stained with blood, rivers of blood, the blood of his men flowing eternally into the ocean.

Despertó, inquieto, aturdido. Delante de él, el tablero, bañado por la luz de una vela, permanecía inmóvil, perfectamente ordenado. Respiró pesada y profundamente, todo estaba como siempre.
Sintió el frío húmedo que entraba por la puerta del bar. Miró el reloj. Llevaba una hora allí sin que nadie se atreviera a atravesar las oscuras y mojadas calles para retarle. Arreciaba. Dio un sorbo de su ya fría infusión y quedó pensando que aquella sería una sesión en blanco, una batalla no disputada. Esperaría un rato más, respetaría la convocatoria oficial.

He awoke, restless, dazed. In front of him, the board, bathed in candlelight, lay still, perfectly ordered. He took a deep, heavy breath, everything was as it had always been.
He felt the damp cold coming through the door of the bar. He looked at his watch. He had been there for an hour without anyone daring to cross the dark, wet streets to challenge him. It was pouring down. He took a sip of his already cold tea and thought that this would be a blank session, an uncontested battle. He would wait a while longer, respect the official summons.

Finalmente, emergiendo de la noche, apareció su rival. Se sentó frente a él y tras un escueto intercambio de palabras empezó la lucha.

Finally, emerging from the night, his rival appeared. He sat down opposite him and after a brief exchange of words the fight began.
