Abdel Karim al Kabli, sometimes written as el Kably or al Kably, is a Sudanese singer, poet, composer, songwriter, and humanitarian known for his songs with content such as love, passion, nationalism, Sudanese culture and folklore.

Abdel Karim Alkabli is born in 1933, and hence he is 88 years old today, and he comes from Port Sudan in Sudan. He is known for several songs, and these are: Zeena, Marawi, Sukkar, Akeed and Kabbas to mention some of the most central.

What is the crisis in Sudan? The crisis has generated food insecurity, malnutrition, and a lack of access to basic services, particularly health services and medicines. The complex crisis has led to the internal displacement of 2.5 million Sudanese since 2010, mainly in Darfur, South Kordofan, and Blue Nile states. Where are the problems in Sudan now, in 2021?

  • Conflict and Abuses in Darfur, Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile.
  • Crackdown on Protesters.
  • Arbitrary Detentions, Torture.
  • Malicious Prosecutions, Harassment.
  • Restrictions on the Media.
  • Sexual Violence and Discrimination.
  • Freedom of Religion.
  • Refugees and Migrants.

Hence, there is much to be engaged with in Sudan, also with the government and the ways things are monitored and governed toward a better place, and a better country. We should work hard, according to earlier president John F. Kennedy to get things being in order and to have the structures in societies that just people like and appreciate and want.

Abdel Karim Alkabli has made several albums in Sudan, and among all things these are: Kabli in Ethiopia, Limaze, Zaman Al Nas, and several more. And there should be theories of justice in Sudan, and the people should be treated in fairly ways, and we should just react to all these protests, and all kinds of reactions everywhere, and Sudan or the population of Sudan wants to be free. Alkabli is using record companies like Sudan and Abdel Karim Alkabli. And there should be enough freedom in this society, and there should be questions about how to govern Sudan, and why there should be obedience to authority, or whether we should ignore such things, and given the channels in the societies in new and open and free ways.

We are finding the music to Alkabli and the songs on the internet, and you can visit the pages to hear to which messages he wants to deliver Sudan and the international societies. And otherwise, we are finding Abdel Karim Alkabli on the ordinary music platforms in the world, like for instance YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify and Deezer.

Giant of modern Sudanese music, Abdel Karim Alkabli is a poet, composer, and folklorist who plays the oud (lute) with deceptive ease and whose deep melodious voice embraces both classical and Arabic styles. And therefore, Alkabli is known many places, and he is still active on the national and international stages. Al Kabli was born in the city of Port Sudan in 1933. During childhood, he developed an interest in the Arabic language, especially the old Arabic poems, and learned to play music on a penny whistle. At the age of sixteen, he moved to Khartoum to attend the Khartoum Commercial Secondary School, where he studied Sudanese folk music and Arabic poetry. His musical interest evolved to the oud (lute) and shetern (small drum), which he learned by himself.

Some of his famous songs include "Ya Bint Ashreen" (O that Girl in her twenties), "Husenek Fa Masher" (My Love Is More Than The Sweet Perfume...), "Sukker Sukker" (Sugar Sugar), "Asia wa Africa" (Asia and Africa), "Noama", "Cleopatra", "Limaza" (Why?), and "Merowi".

Al Kabli has been very active in peace and reconciliation efforts in Darfur and South Sudan and through his music and his social influence has constantly stressed the richness of the ethnic diversity in the country. In 2005, he joined other well-known artists and musicians and travelled to South Darfur during the 16 Days of Activism for Violence Against Women, where he performed in camps for the internally displaced and in the Nyala stadium. His music and his poetry has focussed on women's equality and women's health over the past decade. He is an honorary Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund.

And again some music as it was asked to be included! :)
