Pizza is the world’s favourite fast food. We eat it everywhere – at home, in restaurants, on street corners. Some three billion pizzas are sold each year in the United States alone, an average of 46 slices per person. Many of us are liking pizza, and we are eating pizza alone or together with family and friends, and we are also drinking beverages when being inside our homes, or outside in the markets.

What is bad with eating pizza? Not convinced pizza is unhealthy? Several studies the world around have found that pizza days were bad nutrition days all around. Children ate three grams more saturated fat and 134 milligrams more salt on pizza days. ... Too much saturated fat can increase cholesterol, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. So, it is really unhealthy to eat pizza, and we cannot do these things too often, because otherwise we must visit the doctor to get an evaluation of how life is living and how life is living in good ways, and not in bad ways.

So, food research, what is it really about? It is about how we are getting supply of eating and drinking materials to our bodies. And we can make experiments with these things, and we should eat and drink in relation to what is appropriate for us, and sometimes we are silly with eating too much and with being too unhealthy with our food and our drinking, and sometimes we restrict ourselves with eating and drinking, and eating disorders are a problem when you cannot eat something because being constantly reminding on the weight problem, and that implies that we are being too slim. So, life is a balance where you should not be extreme in any directions, but you should be normal and appropriate with the behavior you are facing, and we should follow the laws, the rules and the norms.

Modern pizza evolved from similar flatbread dishes in Naples, Italy, in the 18th or early 19th century. The word pizza was first documented in A.D. 997 in Gaeta and successively in different parts of Central and Southern Italy. Pizza was mainly eaten in Italy and by emigrants from there.

Pizza could come from the Greek word “pitta” meaning “pie”, or the Langobardic word “bizzo” meaning “bite”. It was first recorded in a Latin text dated 997 in Italy and entered into an Italian-English dictionary in 1598 as «a small cake or wafer».

The modern pizza was originally invented in Naples, Italy but the word pizza is Greek in origin, derived from the Greek word pēktos meaning solid or clotted. The ancient Greeks covered their bread with oils, herbs and cheese. The first major innovation that led to flat bread pizza was the use of tomato as a topping.
