On a small peninsula on the east coast of Mauritius, you will find this small Hindu temple - Sagar Shiv Mandir. It is not only a popular place for devotees but also tourists like to visit. It's not big, but it's right out to sea. I was here in the afternoon, but think it will be a great place at sunrise. It is actually one of the most popular temples on the island.

It's not an old temple and when it was constructed in 2007, it was due to an investment done by the Ghunowa family who contributed with a huge amount of money.

The small peninsula is surrounded by mangroves and the lagoon. It is probably this location that makes this temple one of the main attractions in Mauritius An amazing place.
