On the edge - Silence time - Fishing.

Silence time.

Early morning, complete silence, you wake up early, tiptoe into the corridor, where, already in the evening, fishing rods were prepared and you go fishing.

You are not afraid of stinging nettles and dew drops on the way to the cherished bridge on the edge of the lake.

You walk along a slippery bridge, sit down, cast your line and realize that life on the very edge is a wonderful thing.

Silence envelops you, you can hear how drops of dew fall to the ground from the stalks of nettles.

The air is cool, but the water in the lake is warm, like fresh milk, and you want to touch the water with your foot.

The fog that has been creeping over the lake has already dissipated and its remnants swirl over the island in the middle of the lake.

The sleepy sun rose lazily over the horizon, illuminating the beautiful and wild landscape, very soon, this silence will be broken by frogs and birds singing, but for now, I enjoy the silence.

I tried to depict such thoughts in this modest picture, which I painted the day before yesterday.

This work was a lesson in patience for me, an attempt to do something that I had never done before, try myself in a new drawing style, try out a new technique for myself, it was ten hours of complete silence while I was working on this drawing.

There were moments when it seemed to me that I would never finish this work, but, in the evening, I held the finished drawing in my hands.

The drawing was made with graphite pencils, an eraser and a sharpener helped me.

A5 paper size.

It was difficult for me to understand at that moment what the final work would be, but, gradually, I moved forward.

I had to make the difficult decision to place in the foreground a nettle stalk and the dew drops that hang and drip onto the ground from this stalk.

Reflections in the water, another difficult moment in this picture.

The boy's basket is still empty, but soon it will be full, I hope so.

The case when the camera and smartphone camera wants to mislead us about the color tone of the picture, but I also like this shade.
