SEC-S13W4 | "Is age just a number?"
Hello Everyone!
For me, age is just a number when it comes to living a life wholeheartedly and keeping the childish nature alive in your heart, no matter how old you get. Age is just a number, in many cases, for example, some people are mature in their 20s and some are not even after 30s. But, in life, there are many such experiences that we learn and understand after a certain age, as we grow.
And, we can’t deny the fact that as we age, our health and appearance do get deteriorated naturally. Despite all the chemical products and surgeries available in the market. Now, let’s move on to the contest.
Are you proud of how old you are? Or are you one of those who remove or add age?
According to the biological clock of society, I should have gotten married and till now started a family. But, we shouldn’t rush and live life according to society. So, I am 30, single, and proud of who I am. I have learned and changed a lot in my late 20s. Before, my life was all about materialistic things, possessions, drinking, and dancing kinds of stuff. Now, it’s more about emotions, moments, growth, communication, and most importantly peace.
Is being 20 years old really the same as 65?
I can’t tell you this because I am not 65. Jokes apart, my answer is “absolutely no.” In our 20s, we are a little immature and we haven’t seen life. I mean the actual life when we say life hits hard, those days, experiences, and the life lessons. 20 years is a college-going kid, it's about friends, parties, crushes, possessions, and some show-off kind of things. I do understand that life is not the same for everyone, some kids are quite mature in their 20s but still, we won’t have as many life experiences as we will be having at the age of 65.
How old would you like to be right now and why?
I am quite happy with my current age, I don’t want to decrease my age because due to those past years of learning, today, I am who I am. Nor do I want to jump to the 40s or 50s because I want to live and age day by day. It might sound weird but I do want to see myself as a 70 year-old woman. I would have so many memories, be it good or bad, that’s a part of life. I want to grow old gracefully, spreading love and happiness wherever I go.
Do you agree with the laws' special treatment for older people?
Yes, I do agree with the laws’ special treatment for older people. They have lived life for so many years with all the ups and downs. This reason is enough to treat them specially. As we have seen many people lose their hopes in life when things turn dark, so cheers to the strength and learnings of all the old people.
Do you think 18 is old enough to be considered an adult?
According to me, I feel 18 is too young to be considered an adult. As we haven’t seen the outside world so much due to our studies, friends, and family support. Basically, at 18, our world revolves around all the superficial things. We don’t know much about what’s right and wrong for us or others as we are just seeing life from the surface, but life is all about depth.

We are not totally mature and responsible at 18 years old and we still need to learn more and have experience, which is why the age difference between a 65-year-old person and a 20-year-old person is unequal and physical-motor strength is also different.
Social laws for older people are good and must be followed to guarantee their social and economic well-being.

You are right, during young age we don't know the real essence of living fully. Young age is more about superficial things, with time which changes for many.
Como bien dices, la sociedad nos marca unas pautas a seguir. Yo igual que tu con 39 soy soltero y me encanta viajar. No tengo ninguna prisa por hacerlo ya que le doy prioridad a mis hobbies sin importarme la edad de las cosas.

Young age is the most wonderful time for young people but sometimes we at an early age it is very important for adults to watch over them every day and time so that they can grow well for a better future
I agree with you, during teenagers many fall into wrong doings and habits which can harm them.

So so interesting, probably because it's quite similar to mine which was written about an hour ago.
I like that you are so comfy with your current age, just like me over here 😂. I don't want to miss out on any stage actually, and the process comes with experience which is so valuable.
Of course the elderly need special attention. Despite our reasons differing, yours makes some sense too because in a way, we owe these elderly people for paving the way for us when they were still agile.

Creo que muchos de los que estamos aquí hemos Sido inmaduros por eso creo que los 18 no es considerado ser un adulto ya que por lo general no toman buenas decisiones, sin embargo ante la sociedad ya somos mayores de edad.

Ya right, at 18 many are immature. But, legally they are mature.
