SEC-S14 /W2 |"Parents, Our Pillars of Strength 👪"
Good evening steemians, am greeting you all from Nigeria. This is the second week of this season 14 engagement challenge and am happy that everything are going smoothly in this platform except for the pause of trons rewards. Our parents have really ensure that we do our best in becoming stars in our society. Parental guidance is very important because it makes us disciplined and respectful.
👪 How did your parents shape your personality?
My parents really did alot of moral things in other for me to be a very wonderful child. In the morning my parents will wake my siblings and I up and we will begin morning prayers, this continued for a long time when we were all smaller but now we are use to it to the extent that we gather in the sitting room waiting for our parents so that we can begin prayers.
Am now a very prayerful person because of my parents. My parents always advise me, sometimes my mum will tell me to always say sorry whenever I offend anyone. My parents told me about the five magic words that they can really lead to the death of someone. I don't always joke with the five magic words and taking the five magic words serious through my parents, has really made me a disciplined child.
👪 What role do your parents play in your overall well-being?
My parents always treat me and my siblings in a very lovely way. Most times my father will play football with my elder brother and I, we will get happy as this even increased the healthy bond we have together. My mum always advise me to always pray before I eat, she taught me how to pray before eating as the prayers are divided into 2 sections which are;
We need to pray to God for giving us a meal because he's the overall provider in our life. We also need to pray for anointing before eating anything most especially when we are eating outside home.
Most people die of food poisoning or they get possessed through food and my mother has always said she doesn't want any of her children to be possessed or die of food poisoning. I really learnt alot of other things from my parents as well.
👪 How do your parents encourage your dreams and aspirations?
I have always love to play football though currently my eyes are on basketball ball 🤗. Anyway back in the days I love playing football alot, most times I will leave the house just to play football with my friends and I won't even inform my parents that am going out, the worst part is that I always go back home late in the evening.
My parents kept on flogging me until they discovered that I wasn't changing so one day when I was in the field, watching the bigger boys play, I was in the mood to play but no team chose me so I felt bad at sat at a place beside the field, I was supposed to go home since I wasn't playing but my legs couldn't move as I was just deep in thought wishing I had my own ball.
All of a sudden a new ball was rolled towards me and I was surprised, I was thinking God has blessed me with one but I said it belongs to someone else as and the person will pick it up soon not until I heard my mother's voice calling me name while standing beside me which I didn't noticed. I raised up my head and was surprised to see my parents in the field standing beside me. My father told me to pick up my ball.
I touched the ball and asked them Is this mine? and they both said yes, I was very happy and I went back home with my parents. My parents encouraged my dream of playing football by buying me a ball, they discovered that beating me won't help so they decided to get me a ball.
👪 Share an experience that highlighted your parents' sacrifices for you?
It happened one day when I wasn't feeling fine and my mother had to sacrifice her school end of session ceremony just to take care of me, she called her assistant teacher to assist her students in their presentation in the school party. My mum chose me over the party and her precious students. I love my parents alot.

Your parents are the most loving one. They loved you and your siblings through out. You mentioned that your father used to play football with your elder brother. It's too good when the parents become the friends of their kids. They can always share there thoughts and problems with them.

My parents really shocked the hell out of me that day, I was very surprising when I saw the ball, at first I thought it wasn't mine so I discovered it was mine and I stopped being a stubborn child from that day.
