This blog is about my participation entry for Steemit Engagement Challenge S7-W5 | Be Creative : Write A Short Story organised by @hive-180106. This is my first blog entry in the Steem for Pakistan community so excited to participate in the contest. Let's get into my creative story blog of "Sad dog". It is story of a sad dog from a small village.
Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a dog named Max. Max was known to everyone in the village as the saddest dog in the world. He had droopy eyes, and his tail hung low between his legs. No matter how much love the villagers showed him, Max never seemed to cheer up. He always sat in a corner, staring into the distance with a sad look on his face.

One day, a young girl named Lily, who lived in the village, decided to find out why Max was so sad. She approached him with a piece of bread in her hand, and Max slowly took it from her, giving her a weak wag of his tail in thanks. Lily sat with Max for a while, talking to him and petting him, and she soon realized that Max was sad because he had lost his owner. His owner had passed away, and Max was all alone in the world.
Lily felt sorry for Max and decided to take him home with her. She brought him to her family, who were hesitant at first, but soon fell in love with Max. They took care of him, giving him all the love and attention he needed. Max slowly started to come out of his shell, and the villagers could see a glimmer of happiness in his eyes.
However, one day, Lily's family received a letter from Max's previous owner's estate. The letter stated that Max was to be returned to the estate, as he was a valuable part of the owner's inheritance. Lily's family was heartbroken, as they had grown to love Max as one of their own. But they knew that they had to return Max to his rightful owner's estate.

The day Max was to be returned, Lily took him for one last walk. She took him to all the places they used to go to together and reminded him of all the good times they had shared. Max was reluctant to leave, and Lily was crying. Eventually, Max was taken back to the estate, and Lily never saw him again.
Years went by, and the villagers often thought of Max and the young girl who had tried to bring happiness into his life. They remembered the sad dog who had finally found a ray of hope, only to have it taken away from him once again. But, despite everything, Max's story continued to live on in the hearts of the villagers, and they would always remember the saddest dog in the world.

My friend Thank you for participating in this interesting contest. I really like your selfmade story.
It is a touching story about Max the dog. You did a great job describing Max's sad demeanor and how Lily tried to bring him happiness. It was heartwarming to see Max slowly start to come out of his shell and show happiness again, only to have to say goodbye to him later.
You was able to convey the emotions of both Max and Lily in the story. I could imagine the sadness Max felt after losing his owner and the love and care that Lily showed him.
The part where Max was returned to his owner's estate was really sad, but it was also good to know that Max's story lived on in the hearts of the villagers.
I really enjoyed reading this story. You have a real talent for telling stories that can pull at your heartstrings. I hope to read more from this writer in the future. Keep up the great work!
