When I read the topic of this challenge it made me think that for us it is something that we even do not think but talk, starting from early years of our life we start talking, understandably, initially it is difficult to recognise any words and we just guess. With the time it is more clear and complex, the little children love communicating and they start with eye contact and a smile.
Have you ever thought that it is already considered to be communication when you look into eyes of the person who you talk to, also, sometime we can understand our close people and friends just reading their mimic. We know that is a person gives you a smile that means that person likes you. I remember that it was taught our child in the nursery.
I think many of us learn that early and later they are chatterbox and also a soul of any company.
Communication is Power and we have so many examples where because of lack of communication people got misunderstood, sometimes there are conflicts are raised due to that and even wars are taken place.
There is a lot that we can forgive or accept if people communicate with us, because we understand that and also can imagine ourselves on the place of others person. I believe often it is our problem that we are too busy and lazy or maybe we have no interest and do not care that is why there are many people who fail in reaching their goal because of lack of communication.
Can give you an example from our profession of being doctors. Many people when coming to doctor wanted to be listened and many very worried about their problem. Of course, for them it is very serious and they want to understand what could be done.
We have heard many times that often when patients complain they do not complain about long waiting or that their treatment did not help. Often they complain because doctors did not listen to them and did not communicate about what is going on timely or in details.
I know from my own experience often patient are very grateful even if you give a bad diagnosis they still leave satisfied and grateful for being honest.
That made me to change my approach to people
There is a saying: "If patient not feeling well after visiting a doctor then it is a bad doctor", that is something that I always will remember.
The time of cold war and Cuba Crisis in 1961-62 when there were nuclear weapons placed in Cuba and it was a risk of nuclear wall but after multiple communication between John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev it was possible to settle everything without war for the luck of all people on our planet. We need to listen and to respect each other only then we can reach big results.
There are many opportunities and many courses, in our profession we have many seminars that the employer supports. Also, just to be relaxed and try to speak to your colleagues, listen to them because it is also a great skill to listen that way you will gain respect and interest from other people around you. Communication can be learnt and improved but the most important that we should wish to improve our skills.

Should I Say I was surprised to read your post about the topic, communication is power, because in the cause of reading i found out that you are a medical doctor. I never knew you were one of the professionals in the frontline who has helped to cater and care for the health of the people around the world. You have been doing a good job for taking up that responsibility and God bless you for that.
Communication is very very important in every aspect of our lives. Like the contest question say, which situation do one think that communication is the power to overcome such display. And you gave a good illustration of how you being a doctor allows you to communicate with your patients in passing messages to them be it good one or bad ones. Well sometimes it can be very difficult to pass some informations to some certain kinds of patients and that is where the power of communication skill walks in to action. If the skills of communication are put into practice we can communicate freely and get what we want.
Also you gave good historical examples where good communication skills helped averted crisis and that was with John F Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev. That was a good example because the planet was inddeed saved from destruction....

Saludos. Desde pequeño esta habilidad se nos dificulta en algunos niños se hace mas difícil que otros hasta que al final logramos ser expertos en comunicarnos muchas veces comunicamos cosas demás. Sin duda alguna la falta de comunicación en ocasiones a sido causante de muchos mal entendidos incluso en nuestro entorno podemos experimentar eso con algún familiar o amigos. Por otra parte su profesión es responsable de transmitir información que muchas veces quizás no le guste al paciente. Simple pienso en que los medicos son realmente valientes, en estos tiempos existen muchas maneras para comunicarse y debemos aprovechar las oportunidades, un gran saludo y exitos para usted.

It’s one thing to communicate and it’s another thing to communicate effectively.
A lot of people even though they are right find it hard to express their opinions effectively through communication.
While some set of people don’t even give room for other opinions bringing about that communication gap. This sometimes leads to disagreement, if it’s intense, fights may break out.
La comunicación es una habilidad que no todas las personas manejamos a la perfección, por ello aprendemos mucho de cada experiencia vívida.
Muy cierto, cuando la comunicación es mala se suele tergiversar o mal interpretar las cosas, lo que puede crear conflictos en nuestras relaciones, lo mejor es tratar de comunicarse de forma clara y concisa para que el mensaje sea captado por el receptor.
Tiene mucha razón, veces me ha pasado que esper mucho tiempo para ser atendido en una consulta médica y la decepción ha sido grande porque el médico no habla ni revisa al paciente y después de la espera la consulta no dura ni 5 minutos.

La comunicación es la clave para el éxito en la vida ya que nuestras palabras tienen un gran poder y pueden ser eficaces de manera positiva o negativa.
Para que nuestra comunicación mejore debemos saber escuchar a nuestro interlocutor y comprender sus sentimientos y comprender sus sentimientos.
