Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W1 - List Your Childhood Outdoor Games, Which are Not Famous Globally

Those of us who grew up in the village played various outdoor games with our mates as children. Games that may not be so popular in other regions but we have many memories associated with the games. We don't see any competition with these games on TV or internationally because the games are unknown to the rest of the world outside the specific region.

But in childhood we grew up playing all these games. Today's contest concept took me back to my childhood. When I was a child, I used to play various outdoor games with my childhood friends in the street of our neighborhood.

I still remember that I used to play various outdoor games with my friends for the rest of the day except school time. So today I will share with you three outdoor games which are not so popular globally.

Latim game

The outdoor game I played the most as a child was Latim(spinning). There was no separate season for playing this game. Like we play football in rainy season or cricket in dry season. But this Latim game we could play in all kinds of seasons because it doesn't need any kind of special place to play it. We could all play this game in a small place .I still remember that the price of a Latim was only 10 BDT/0.5 STEEM.

Latim Swing
This game could be played with many rules. The rule we used to play the most was who could keep spinning the longest. Everyone took his own latim and a rope to swing it. There was no specific number of players to play this game. One by one we would rotate our latims. Whoever spins the Latim for the longest time is the winner.

Latim taken out of the Circle
Besides, another rule of this game we used to play is Latim house. There were two opposing teams to play this rule. Before playing a game, a circle was drawn and all the player of the team who lost the toss were kept their Latim inside this circle. The task of those who win the toss is to remove the opponent's latim one by one from the circle by rotating the latim with the rope. And the task of the opposing team is to prevent all the Latims from leaving the circle. It was a very fun game.

The Rope Game

The second outdoor game we used to play as children was the rope game. To play this game, only one rope was needed as a material. We all boys and girls used to play it together.Especially I played this game more with my cousins.

Jump with Rope
This game requires a minimum of three players to play. Two players rotate the rope and whoever gets their turn stands in the middle of the rope. When the rope is rotated, the player has to jump so that the rope does not touch his body. If the rope touches the player's body then the player is knocked out. In this way, one person after another started jumping on the rope. One rotation of the rope is counted as one loop. The winner is the one who can do the loop the most times without attaching the rope to his body. The game was very interesting. I still enjoy recalling my memories.

Ha-Du-Du

The third outdoor game that I have played the most which is known as the national game of our country is Ha-Du-Du game. This game is very much like the game of Kabaddi. But the native people have different rules for this game.

This game requires a minimum of 9 players to play. Two teams stand on either side of a line. One member from each team crosses the line and tries to touch the members of the other team and return to his own team's area. And after crossing the line, he has to say one or the other word continuously without breathing until he comes to his area. The opposing team prevents them from crossing the line. The team whose members are knocked out first is defeated. My father and grandfather also used to play this outdoor game. The game is very fun.

Conclusion

In today's era, children have become so much addicted to technology that they don't want to play field level games. As a result, their physical development is disturbed a lot. That's why they are getting bored day by day. Now a days many types of depression diseases are seen in young boys and girls because of wanting to be alone all the time and not being active in any kind of outdoor games. These games will improve physical condition as well as improve children mental condition. I love these games.
