Hello guys,
It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which is titled POWERUP & WIN - WEEK-26 which is organized by @jyoti-thelight. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @dave-hanny, @drhira, and @lhorgic to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

I have waited for this contest for a while now. It is one of the contests that help me grow even more every week because it encourages me to grow my account and also gets some support while doing that.

In this publication today, I will share with everyone a step-by-step process that I took to power up the little Steem I have. For the record, I'm powering up a total of 28.332 Steem. Below is the procedure used to do it.

Step 1: Log in to your wallet and then ensure that it is in the form as seen in the image below.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down menu beside the available Steem as seen from the screenshot below and select power up.

Step 3: Enter the amount of Steem you wish to power up and then click on power up as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 4: Click 🆗 to confirm your transfer to vesting as seen from the image below.

Step 5: Check your wallet to be sure that the Steem has been added to your wallet as seen from the screenshot below.

Importance of powering up

Powering up Steem is one of the major things we must do always to grow in the Steemit platform. The essence of the club status I.e Club 5050, 75, and 100 is to encourage users to power up their Steem.

As we can see, at the moment the Steemit team doesn't support those who don't power up their Steem I.e those who are not in any club status. We can also see these via the different contests we enter daily as the rules always say that you must be in a club to participate in the contest.

Finally, powering up helps you to have more SP and earn more curation rewards when you support other users via voting. So in conclusion the essence of powering up is for our growth as well.
