Hi guys,
It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to share my entry in this week's contest of power which is organized by @jyoti-thelight in this community today. It's a wonderful contest that encourages Steem growth and I'm delighted to be part of those sharing my participation.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @dave-hanny, @josepha, and @jasminemary to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

Powering up Steem is something I believe every Steemian has an idea of and for that reason, I won't be saying much about the process because we all may have known the process. For the sake of the new users who probably may not have a full knowledge of how to do that, I will give a proper guide below as to how you should go about it.

Now let's take the process one after another using proper screenshots to illustrate for a better understanding. I hope this tutorial helps all those who don't have an idea about it before.

Firstly, you must log in to your wallet properly and be sure that your wallet is in the format of the screenshot above. That is it should display in the manner we see above.

Secondly, you will have to click on the drop-down menu as seen in the screenshot above and then select the power-up option as marked in the screenshot above.

Enter the amount you wish to convert to Steem power as you can see in my case I entered all the amount of Steem available and then you will click on the power up button as seen from the above screenshot.

Finally, click on 🆗 as you can see in the screenshot above to confirm that you are ready and willing to convert the Steem to Steem power.

Check your Steemit wallet to be sure that the amount of Steem has been transferred to Steem power as you can see from my screenshot above.

Write the importance of performing powerup.

Powering up Steem is very important and that is why the club status program came in in the first place because the Steemit team wanted a scenario where everyone would be able to support others through an upvote.

Considering the number of people on the Steemit platform, the team may not be able to meet the needs of everyone but with a collective effort of all everyone will be sure to have something tangible at the end of the day. So aside from that, those with good SP also earn good curation rewards which makes it a win-win situation for all.
