My application for the competition - Stamp collection as your hobby
I was pleasantly surprised to see the Contest alert!! || Stamp collection as your hobby ||10 STEEM as a prize vote organized by Dear @sahar, postage stamps were my first hobby since childhood, not counting many other hobbies.
When I was five years old, on my birthday, my mother and father asked me to enter the living room with my eyes closed.
When I was told to open my eyes, I saw a mountain of postage stamps lying on the carpet.
Nearby lay a thick bookcase for postage stamps.
It was real happiness, I spent days looking at postage stamps and sorting them into series.
Postage stamps have a special aroma, and when you touch them, then, in fact, you are touching the history of our world and making a journey to the country and year when and where the postage stamp was issued, such a machine of time and space.
Since we lived in the USSR, postage stamps were mainly issued in the USSR and in the countries of the socialist camp, and these are Cuba, Mongolia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Vietnam, but the variety of topics was selected taking into account my interests, and even me In early childhood I was interested in wildlife and art.
I loved picking mushrooms and postage stamps served as a helpful guide to mushrooms.
I collected medicinal herbs and was interested in the entire plant world.
My grandfather was an avid motorist and apparently for this reason in my collection there were many postage stamps on motor transport themes, you can add trains, ships and aircraft to them, and my father added chess-themed postage stamps to the collection lol.
Many stamps with paintings from the Hermitage, the Pushkin Museum, Aivazovsky and many other museums were collected in my collection of postage stamps, but, like all children, I was more interested in dinosaurs.
By the way, it is interesting to reflect on postage stamps and get to their essence.
This postage stamp depicts the fulfillment of a childhood dream of Fdel Castro, who also loved dinosaurs and created a huge park of dinosaur statues in Cuba.
That was the first time I learned that there were prepaid postage stamps, regular postage stamps, and postage postage stamps, which indicated to the postman that the recipient was paying the full amount, or part of the amount, for the correspondence.
These postage stamps are in front of you.
And I began to pay attention to some rarities, such as the correction of the denomination of the postage stamp due to financial reforms and other interesting points.
But, I give a special place in my collection to postage stamps of the colonial era, and when you delve into the knowledge of the history of the postage stamp, there are many reasons to be surprised at a world in which we cannot live in peace with each other.
All photographs are original photographs of postage stamps from my collection.
