What will life be like when the covid-19 virus comes to an end?

I know, many people are fed up with all those posts about the coronavirus, and I truly agree. I have stopped reading all those posts about it in the online newspapers as well. I check the daily stats to see how it is spreading, and that is mostly it.

But, I do think about the virus and ponder upon what effects it will have on the earth. It is one thing that people have lost their jobs, another thing that people are dying and suffering. But, recently, I have been thinking about totally different aspects of the virus.

How will the virus affect you?

Let us say that it all comes to an end in 3 months from now. What will life be like then? I have read so many comments and thoughts from people, for example:

There will be a baby-boom on earth in 9 months!

Have you thought about that? Is that really so? Today I even read that the main factory producing condoms and material for companies such as Durex just stopped production, something that will cause a lack of condoms (most likely). Man, what is going on and what will happen? Will we really see a baby-boom in 9 months from now? Will people have more sex because they are stuck at home?

There will be tons of divorces once the virus is over!

Many people in China have reported that there are lots of divorces taking place in Wuhan at the moment. What happened? After being stuck together with their spouse for some months, they suddenly realized that they were not good together at all. I have also read in other countries that they expect it will be lots of divorces once it all comes to an end.

So, what's going to happen? Will there be babies? Or will there be divorces? Or will there be both?

I will be extremely fat when this all ends!

My smart-watch hasn't been nice to me recently. While it normally tells me that I have made between 8000-13000 steps daily, it has recently shown me numbers such as 2500 and so. What effect will this have on me? Will I end up with a big belly in a few months? Also, what effect will it have on me that I am inside mostly all day? Will I eat a lot of chocolate and drink Coca Cola (I am not much of a beer drinker), and put on weight, not only because my lack of activity, but also because I eat and drink to cheer me up while I feel sorry for myself?

Will I lose weight in the coming months?

Or will I experience the opposite? After all, you don't want to go outside and to stores, so you try to eat as little as possible, in order to make what you have enough for the upcoming days and months? And who knows, even though I move around little, the calories I eat will still be so few that I will end up losing weight?

Will I run to a psychologist when this is over?

Many people say that this is a big hit on us all as mankind. We are forced to live in a way we have never experienced before. This is a pressure that we haven't seen, and many suffer from fear every single day. So, when it all comes to an end, will I run to a psychologist, because I suddenly let the stress and trauma of it all get lose and I don't know how to handle it?

Will I stand happier and stronger than ever?

This is the version I hope will turn true. I have written quite a lot of articles about it, but I do hope that this will be a golden period in my life. Not only because I have more time at home, but because I can have more quality time with my kids and family, I have time to do things I haven't done before, and because I believe that this is a time of opportunity!

So, what will life be like when this all comes to an end? I don't know, but I would love to hear your thoughts. Will you have a big, fat belly, having a hard time dragging it with you to the psychologist? Or will you be in better shape than ever? I would love to hear your thoughts, everyone!

I am finding it nice spending time with my family as we are usually running around all over the place. We have been playing games, watching movies and thses are all good things to keep us sane in these circumstances.

After we get back to normal, the first thing I will want to do is visit my parents as they are in lockdown in another country. I have no way to see them - maybe for months. Things we took for granted have disappeared.

I think afterwards, I will be more appreciative of what I have.

That is a good point... it is in times like this that we realize how much we take for granted normally!

I had not considered the problem of lack of condoms, although I certainly read the news.

The part about the divorsios surprises me a little, but after thinking about it I think it is reasonable.

That of living in a new way for humanity, because I see it a little exaggerated, after all it is not the first pandemis we have in history. I suppose it will be good to seek psychological help for people who have lost relatives and for those who develop behaviors of germ phobia, phobias of open spaces, agarophobia, who develop pathological anxiety when having to be with other people and, in short, all people who show some degree of imbalance.

Man, I hadn't thought about all those phobias people might get, but that is true... people who are obsessed with handwashing and more, for sure people will fight with such addictions and problems afterward!

We have to plan not only for the present emergency, in order to survive, but also for the problems that will come after the crisis, in order to live again.

True. However it's the first one, where people within incubation phase are also spreaders. And that's an absolute game changer. Within 1 month it will become the most deadly and devastating virus in history of mankind. I dont have doubts about it (while seeing how US and west europe is dealing with this problem and how are those authorities using it to strengthen their political power).

Ok, certainly the epidemic has spread a lot, thanks to the means of transportation and the high mobility of the world population today, that makes this pandemic more dangerous.

The perfect question we must all ask now and remember to return to how things were. Nice job for posting it.

Now I am a progressive so I dislike the idea of returning to the status quo, but history shows that if we don't we all (but a few) will pay dearly for it.

I do hope for myself that I will be a better version of myself when it all comes to an end than I am now! :) So, I am progressive in my way of thinking as well!

Wonderful outlook. Same here. Also hoping to find a valued place in the new economy that emerges. Will probably take a while, but there is a chance that the world is a better place inside of a decade.

It is an obstacle for humanity or a challenge for the people.

AS people get used to work from remote, the importance of living in large city will wane and ghost villages find a new life, where raising children close to nature will make it easier to limit their screen time.
In a generation or two, country bums will be the smart ones...

For the baby booming, there might be an atom if truth. For divorces, there might be a lot and maybe a few reconciliation within families.

I hope after the COVID-19 stay home holiday, u
I will be able to get a lot of things right.

Life will be like a reboot on a computer. People will have to start fresh. Giving birth to children after nine months will be certain giving rise to the new baby booming season. Please stay safe.

ps. Lately I've realized that sooner than later "talking online" about coronavirus may get us in trouble. Russia already introduced heavy penalties for spreading panic/fear or "fake news" related to covid-19.
I strongly believe that EU and us will follow very soon. so I will personally limit myself to reading about it, but I really comment or post anything related to this topic. Just in case.

Hungary already has a law in which they can punish people for spreading fake information, and they can go to prison for it. As long as such laws are used for good and really to stop fake news, it is kind of not the worst, but still, I do worry about the law in Hungary, and also what you tell of in Russia. Hopefully, other countries will not follow with such stuff, because it can clearly be a threat to freedom of speech!
