Some "great" features that almost nobody has told you yet about Hivemind/Communities.

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

Today is Sunday. It was 7:00am when I started to write this post over here. And that fucking "transaction broadcast error" message insistently came to test my patience once again. So, prolly sorta of an early Sunday's muse for you too unless you are reading this from Aussieland. Hence, today I'm not gonna overwhelm you with many of my cryptic words as usual. I'm not in the mood. Just 1 sec. read of my own words. I promise!!

¡Bring your stopwatch!

Ah! but that doesn't mean that you won't have to READ. More to the point. You irremediably will have to do extra work if you aim to learn something at all. Because for that, you undisputedly will have to click first. Click on all the pictures and click on all the colored texts from now on. ¿Agreed?

There is no discussion. Or you click or you will remain as ignorant as you currently are. Although maybe fully content with the couple of cents that you possibly could earn from 'curation' rewards if you happen to upvote this post blindly and depending of your current VP and SP stake.

Because now that Hivemind/Communities features finally has been forced and in plain execution on the Steem blockchain. Unless you Click, READ & Learn you will find yourself more alone here than Adam before his rib was torn off. Have you noticed the recent whooping decline in manual and organic upvotes, comments and interaction these last couple of weeks?

That happen for a reason.

Therefore and without more ado...

From long time ago I can't watch videos online anymore due my sluggish ass internet connection. So, I couldn't refresh my old eyes with the pretty girl who is gonna give you this cheerful Communities tutorial next:

But I have the hunch that whatevah she has to say about the subject should be complementary and gracefully relevant to what I've previously written and linked to above. Plus, I'm not going to deprive you now to not enjoy of this eyecandy refreshing your eyes just because I couldn't enjoy it myself.

And as a Bonus...

¿Could we finally earn 'tokens' just by ReSteeming content now?

Rest in sure that I might disagree with many of your perceptions regarding our world and your prescription for it. But certainly, I can also empathize and understand your reasons for many of your 'folkloric' conclusions.

Because...

Humanity projects their wishes onto an impersonal universe of their own creation, in the hopes of organizing the perceived chaos into an understandable, acceptable and bearable form. But as advanced physics experiments demonstrate, a mere act of shrewd observation often results in fundamental shifts in expected outcomes.

Since it's more than evident...

That if not already totally convinced, the vast majority of people almost always will have an idea that you must be only as good as your last article.

However, from now on you'll have to snoop in two different tabs on people profiles to confirm just that. The latest of the last. ¿Where is it now?

Just keep CLICKING & Reading!!

But the core of the issue and the marrow of the matter here is, that I really like make people think outta their own ordinary safe bubble and provoke unique thoughts in others which, in retribution, feed me up back with new disentangled discoveries. With Communities/Hivemind features activated and now in progress, I'm afraid content discovery will be harder to get.

I've been always in the quest of new titivated discoveries which neither of us had thought or would have thought before. I'm always trying to invite my readers to challenge my point of view. Not the opposite. Doh!

Looking that they nourish my brain and my being much more with their discrepancies than with their agreements. Because if not, what value it can have for any of us not discover different viewpoints and new perspectives from the peculiar and distinctive spot where we both are standing?

Yeah, I know very well I've implied at the top of this post that this would be a shortass post with 1 second read. But you also will have to understand that this article was about something that almost nobody has told you yet.

A T.U.T.O.R.I.A.L. remember?

So, what can I say? ...except: "Never trust or take to the letter what an old cranky chap with a visible frown and silver long hair dressed with a hello kitty pink robe might tell you at first instance"

Especially if he tells you so in a long weekend next to the carnivals when he certainly knows that you will have too much free time to read or listen to the totality of what he has to tell you with way more calm, attention and more willingness than average to learn something new this time.

Well, that's my way of thinking at least.

But... ¿Who Knows?

I think the issue with content discovery can be addressed if the post is visible to both the community and steemit as a whole

Yep! that's indeed a possibility @totoymola. But I think you still will have to READ a lil bit more across the entirety of the links and tutorials embedded within this post to realize that such solution won't come from the 'official' Stinc Devs anytime soon. :)

I'm not sure if I'm getting resistant to change in my advancing years, but this change has lowered my interest in content or even attempting to discover it. Combine that with the Tron debacle, it's time to take a step back IMO.

Yup! that seems to be the general feeling around here lately. And it's enough just observing nothing else than the acute decline of comments, engagement and interaction within people's content to know you are not alone on this significant resistance to change syndrome. It certainly is not exclusive of seniors, veterans or getting older to have a sense of low interest in what once upon a time was an easy flowing and natural activity to invest time, brain & efforts enjoying the ride.

But like everything in life, one always ends up adapting to changes and bullfighting the new circumstances. At the end of the day, we know we have only two choices. Or we go out of the bullring on a stretcher after a long ride hooked on the bull's horns or we end up with his two ears and his tail in hand as the only trophy and first prize.

It's Carnival!!
