ACHIEVEMENT 2 TASK By @yuvi243: Basic security on steem, How to secure wallet
First of all special thanks to @cryptogecko for inviting me to the community. And thanks to other members also for supporting me. I completed my ACHIEVEMENT1 now its time to look forward.
Basic security knowledge of Steem for Every member is necessary and is help to every blockchain user of steemit platform. Every steem member should know the functions and uses of all keys and it is important to retrieve all the keys securely as i have done.
Importance of Security keys
We should store store our master password along with allthe privatekeysgiven to us with security, because our password is useful to recover our data. And all the keys have their separate uses so we should keep them safe too.
FUNCTIONS OF PRIVATE KEYS
Private Posting key
It is required to login in steemit and in commenting, upvoting and downvoting etc.
Private Memo key
This key is used to handle wallet so this is very important for wallet related functions.
Private Owner key
This key is used in resetting all other key to defend your account when its compromised. This key is helpful to recover compromised account in 30days.
Private Master key
This key is used to generate all keys in case of third party perform hacking in your account
Step 1: Go on to your Wallet Section.
Step 2: click on STEEM BALANCE and choose TRANSFER
Step 3: Fill the recipient's details and fill the amount of steem to transfer and click on proceed.
The process is similar but instead of Transfer we have to choose Power Up and Proceed.
