Hello, fellow steemians. Welcome back to my blog. Here, I'll be doing my achievement 2 post. My achievement post 1 post was verified by @ngoenyi. And now, I proceed to the next one.

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes, I have. There are a number of keys here, and they are as follows: active key, post key owner key and master key. One should appropriate keys have for their appropriate permissions when logging in to perform different functions. What aretheses keys? There are: -Active key is used to make transfers. -Posting key is for everyday use. Or used daily to log into -your account. And, -The owner or master key is to change the password.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

I do. Each of these keys have has its functions as long as we operate on this platform.

Active key - This key is used to transfer funds. It is also used to power up or down, depending on what function you want to perform. It can be used to convert steem dollars, cote for witnesses, update one's picture and other details about a person, and lastly to ce a market/price order if you want to sell your steem.

Posting key - This key makes it possible for someone to make a post about something. It allows commenting, editing, voting, resteeming a post, and following a person or a community here.
Meanwhile, there should be a limit as to how this key should be used, as one's account can be tempered with if used too much to perform an action.

Owner key - This key is the most powerful and sensitive of all. It should be used when there is a need for it, and is meant to be stored offline, or in a hard drive. This key can be used to change any key of an account, or receiver an account that was compromised on.

Memo key - Memo key is for encrypting and decrypting memos when doing a transfer of funds.

What do I do if I lost my password/keys?

It is very impossible to recover an old account if you lose it. This is why you should guide your master key as much as you can. Store it on a hard drive or anywhere safe in order to avoid this.

Why should I be careful with my master password?

This key controls every other key. If someone knows or has access to this key, your account is in danger. That is why your keys should be known only by you.

What do I do if I lost my password/keys?

There is no way to recover your account if you lose your password or owner key! Because your account has real value, it is very important that you save your master password somewhere safe where you will not lose it.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have it stored on my hard drive. I also have it jotted down in my notepad. It is very important to keep this key safe. And very not advisable to share this key with a second party.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, I know how to. On you wallet, the first menu you have is to transfer.

After clicking here, you'll be taken to where you can make a transfer with your balance showing. You decide how much to transfer and insert your memo key to complete this process.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

First you have to go to your wallet again, click on the arrow in steem, there you'll have a drop-down menu with one of the options there to power up. Click on it and power up as much as you want.
