Achievement 6 Task by @yawjunior : Understanding Curation, Witness and Community
Hello fellow friends of steemit, i really appreciate you all for support and effort towards me.
I am with happiness to proced to achievement6 task and it all the help of @cryptokannon for their guidance i really appreciate.
In this achievements post of mine I will want to share with you my understanding on curation and community, as I attempt to answer the following questions.
Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?
Voting on steemit blockchain basically means selection of quality or good content, which can be done by either upvoting or downvoting. But in this case upvoting is encouraged because it attract rewards for the author of the content as compare to downvoting which do not earn any reward.
Curation on other hand on steemit blockchain refers to the rewards that a user recieved from posting a quality content.
Curation occur as soon as voting is done on a quality content. Voting on Steemit works like other social media platforms but the slit difference is that; steemit provide the avenue for rewards to be credited to authors when their content is been voted on.
But on steemit blockchain voting depends on the amount of steem power (SP) a user possessed or has in their wallet.
Now let's know more about downvote and upvote.
From the image above, the upvote is represented in green, while the downvote is represented in red colour. So once you click on the green (upvote), means distribution of rewards has started from the reward pool to the author. Casting your vote and the influence of the rewards depends on the voting mana you have, which is set at 100% and anytime a vote is cast, 20% of the remaining voting mana will be used, which will recharge by 20% every day.
Also, once you click on the red (downvote), which do not earn any reward to the author, but it pool is 25% of the upvote mana pool and it reduced the normal mana.
Though very user can upvote and also downvote with 100% voting strength but when you reach 500 steem power, a vote slider will appear for you to be able to adjust the weight of your voting capacity which is between 1%-100% voting strength.
What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?
When a post is published, it shows the 50% that the curator will get during the first 5 minutes, and it is calculated based on the time in which the vote is cast, Which I will want present it in a tabulated form for a better understanding of what occur when a user voted on a post before five(5) minutes marks after.

Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?
Basically the steemit blockchain is looking up to a group of people who create blocks and also uses a consensus method, called Delegated Proof of Stake, and also users who are willing and able to contribute to the Blockchain becomes a Witness, where they need to be elected or selected through votes by the Steemit Community. In steemit blockchain user who creat blocks are refered to as witness. But i wish to vote for @justyy who designed the Steemyy.com, and @steemchiller for designing the SteemWorld.org, because one can not operate smoothly on the steemit blockchain without this tools. They are been used daily on steemit blockchain.
Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?
There are countless of communities in the steemit blockchain that any user can join depending on his or her interest. But below shows some of the the communities i have joined and the reasons, in a tabular form, where all the members post quality and educative content.
