Steemit is a platform that can accommodate various types of content in it, this platform is also open so that everyone can access it, the public can post anything on this platform be it in the form of writing, photos and videos, and interestingly here you can make money because this platform is above the STEEM blockchain database, although it is open the steemit platform also enforces some rules that cannot be in the form of writings, photos and videos, and interestingly here you can make money because this platform is above the STEEM blockchain database, although it is open the steemit platform also enforces some rules that cannot be in the form of violated by its users, the thing that is strictly prohibited on this platform is PLAGIARISM.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is an act of taking someone else's copyright without including the original source, this can be in the form of taking writings, pictures and also videos, the perpetrator of plagiarism can be considered a criminal act because the word plagiarism can be interpreted into the word Steal.

Then what to do if someone wants to take some quotes that belong to someone else? The important thing to do is to include a source link so that others can know where the quote you took came from, that way you will avoid plagiarism, but it will be even more beautiful if you distinguish the writing style in that part of the quote.

EXAMPLES OF HOW TO CITE SOURCES

>The Merriam Webster dictionary defines the act of plagiarism as; “to steal and pass off ideas or words of another as one’s own”. Simply put, plagiarism is the process of taking other people’s words and/or ideas and pretending that they are your own. An alternative definition of plagiarism is forwarded by the Collins Dictionary which explains that plagiarism is the practice of using someone else’s work and pretending that it is your own. Plagiarism can also be defined as the act of deliberately trying to deceive your academic tutor by submitting content which is not your own work.[source](https://www.scanmyessay.com/plagiarism/what-is-plagiarism.php)

Okay, okay, guys, maybe that's enough explanation from me, hopefully it can be useful for you newcomers like me, let's work with our own ideas or thoughts, avoid plagiarism, be yourself and stay creative, if there are any questions or other things maybe we can discuss in the comments column.
