Content etiquette refers to practices of creating and sharing online content. It covers everything from copyright laws to social media conduct to ensure that your content is well-received by your audience and avoids ethical issues. some key elements of content etiquette to keep in mind is:
Avoiding plagiarism
When creating and sharing content, it's important to respect intellectual property rights. This means avoiding plagiarism, copyright infringement, and using videos, images and other media without proper attribution or permission. Always give credit where credit is due, and make sure that you have the right to use any images or media that you include in your content.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's work or ideas as your own. It is a serious ethical offense in academic and professional settings, and can result in alot of consequences.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

There are many types of plagiarism, and it is important to understand what they are in order to avoid them.

Direct plagiarism: This occurs when a person copies and pastes someone else's work without giving credit to the original author. This is the most obvious form of plagiarism, and the easiest to detect.

Self-plagiarism: This occurs when a person submits the same work or parts of the same work for different assignments or in different contexts without proper attribution. While it may not involve copying someone else's work, it is still considered unethical because it misrepresents the originality of the work.

Paraphrasing plagiarism: This occurs when a person takes someone else's work and changes the wording or structure but retains the ideas and meaning without proper attribution. This is also known as "mosaic plagiarism" because it involves taking pieces of other people's work and assembling them into a new whole."Mosaic plagiarism" because it involves using parts of someone work or idea without citation, but rephrases or rearranges the text/words.

Accidental plagiarism: This occurs when a person unintentionally uses someone else's work or idea as their own. This can happen when a person is not aware of the using citation rules or when they mistakenly believe that it's just common knowledge.

Plagiarism by omission: This occurs when a person intentionally omits citation to a source that contributed to their work.

Patchwork plagiarism: This occurs when a person takes parts of work or idea from different sources and puts them together as their own. This is similar to paraphrasing plagiarism but involves usingmultiple sources instead of just one.

Idea plagiarism: This happens when a person takes someone else's original idea and presents it as their own without proper attribution or citation. it is not as easy to detect but misrepresents the originality of the idea or work.

In conclusion, plagiarism is a serious offense that can have severe consequences. It is important to understand the different types of plagiarism in order to avoid them and maintain integrity. Always remember to give proper credit to your sources, whether it's through citations, references, or acknowledgments. By doing so, you can ensure that your content are original.

Hello friend....
You need to provide examples of quotes correctly to avoid plagiarism

Every copy/pasted sentence should be either in quotes “” or formatted using the > markup.

Every paraphrased paragraph, sentence or idea should have a reference as close to it as reasonably possible to indicate its origin.

Example :

Apples are a true superfood in my opinion. "Researchers have long been aware of the potential for apple consumption to support balanced populations of bacteria in our lower digestive tract." Source The antioxidant contained in apples is referred to as Quercetin and researchers believe that it prevents damage to human brain cells. Source
