It was clear to me that understanding the fundamental knowledge of producing quality and original contents is paramount and a priority to the steemit ecosystem. When sharing contents that belongs to another author, there is a huge need to make sure you cite the source. That's to say that this is highly encouraged and advised.

Plagiarism can be defind as the act of copying another author's work without acknowledging the author. Plagiarism is a crime of counterfeiting fraud and is punishable in a court of law, for copyright infringement and violation.

For you to avoid plagiarism, there's a need to cite another author's works. When using it to clearify yours, such as image, text, quote, page etc.

Is a way of telling your readers or followers that some or full material in your work is from another author. When you cite your source, it help your readers to get more information. When you cite the page or author, it can serve as an evidence, it will help in justifies your argument or statement.
