Every system, company, and financial service should safeguard their projects since any key or password may be hacked, just as it is in this blockchain. The most important aspect is that each account has its unique passcode.

If you finally breach or expose it to any third-party website, keep in mind that your obtained tokens (STEEM, SBD, & SP) will be stolen and you will be held responsible.

Steemit platforms have four distinct passwords that are used for various tasks. I'll describe how they function in more detail below.

What steps can I take to keep my Steem account safe?
Save your master password in a secure location.

Only use the key that has the required permissions for what you're doing to log into your account:

For everyday logins, I'm posting a key.
When necessary for transfers, power-ups, and other purposes, press the active key.
When changing the password, use the master password or the owner key.

Save your master password and keep it safe once again! If you're using your post key to log in, make sure you don't forget or rewrite your master password.

Sharing your password or keys with a third-party site is not encouraged. Steemit Inc. is working on a login app that will work with third-party Steem front ends.

Posting key
To publish a post or a comment, use the posting key. Also it is used to resteem , edit a post or remark, upvote or downvote and also follow and mute people .

Active Key
Tokens can be transferred, STEEM can be powered up or down, and SBD can be converted using the Active Key. The active key is also used to cast vote for witnesses, changes to your profile, placing an order on an exchange, create a new user and publish a Witness pricing feed.

The owner's key
The Owner Key can be used to reset the Owner, Active, and Posting keys, as well as to recover your account and decline voting rights.

Memo Key
The Memo key is used to send and view encrypted messages.

Master Key
The master key is the most significant and the first to be handed to the user to derive all the other keys.

How to transfer Steem to another account
Log in with your username and active key password. Go to wallet in the top right corner and click on it. Select transfer by clicking on the small arrow next to the Steem Dollars balance. Put the amount you want to transfer to and the username then confirm it. Your tokens will be transferred.

How to PowerUp

Select wallet from the upper right corner.
Select the wallet icon.
Select steem tokens from the drop down option on the subsequent page, then power up.
Hit the power up button after entering the quantity of steem you wish to power up.
Click OK in the next confirmation window that appears.
