Hello steemians I trust your day is moving well. I present to you all my achievement 3 task of content etiquette.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism I taking what does not belong to you and using it as yours without crediting the real owner in the domain of blogging and content creation. Thus as a writer, blogger and content creators, such an act should be avoided. There are various types of plagiarism. But I'll name 4.

TypesofPlagiarism

1.Direct Plagiarism

This is a form of plagiarism whereby it involves the actual copying and pasting of another man's work and deals with the deliberate exemption of citing the source of the work and removal of quotation marks.

2. Self Plagiarism

Self plagiarism is mostly common with students. For these students would copy and paste part of his/her previously submitted academic work or document. In this case, if the student submits two different course projects, without seeking the permission of the concerned lecturer, this is then considered as an act of self plagiarism.

3.Complete Plagiarism

This is the worst type of Plagiarism. It's case is just so terrible. This type is when the researcher, takes another man's work, in either book, paper or manuscript and changes only the name from the owners to his/her name and submits it. This one is known as actual theft and is very bad. So we all should avoid such.

4. Mosaic Plagiarism

In this case, mentioning the source of a content is not enough as one may mention the source of a content but failing to acknowledge the quoted part or forgetting to properly put it in quotation marks, is subject to plagiarism.

How to avoid plagiarism and citation

The best way to exempt your work from plagiarism, is to avoid it by this four methods of I'll list out.

  • Get your Sources Cited.
  • Use your own ideas.
  • Input quotations.
  • Use proper citation styles.
  • Use plagiarism checkers.
Plagiarism checkers to me are the best so I took it upon myself to research and input some plagiarism checker sites below.

Conclusion

Plagiarism is bad and has also been banned by law. For as content creators, we shouldn't be caught in such an act of plagiarism because if you are cought here on the steemit platform, you will have a nasty drop in reputation and life here will not be as sweet as it was before on your side. Also note that forgetting to credit words and pictures that are not yours can also be considered an act of plagiarism.

The steemit Etiquette has been very well comprehended by me. Thus I will do my optimum best to abide by it.
