ACHIEVEMENT 3 BY @bloggerpuspita: MENTOR BY @CRYPTOKANNON || TASK: CONTENT ETIQUETTE

Hello friends! Hope you all are well. I am back to present my achievement 3, once again.
In this achievement 3, we are on a discuss; plagiarism as related to our blogging and content creation. So let’s walk together as we discuss.

PLAGIARISM
In this achievement 3 I have been thought on how to avoid plagiarism as a blogger. And how to make reference or citation to sources of images or quotes that are not originally mine, when using them in my posts. If you missed that blog, you can check it out Here.
Plagiarism is the presentation of someone else's work, idea or content as one's original work without making reference or citation to the source.
If you are using images or content that is not your own, make sure you are allowed to use it and as well cite the source of the image or content. Using random image from the internet without citations to the source is discouraged.

There several places you can get free images on the internet, which includes:
https://pixabay.com
https://pixels.com
https://shuttersstock.com
https://unsplash.com
In simple words we can say that copying of some one’s work and proving it to be yours is Plagiarism.

Types of Plagiarism

  1. Direct Plagiarism: word -for-word transcription of a section of someone else's work without quotation marks or attribution can be defined as Direct Plagiarism. This is unethical and dishonest practice and should be stopped.

  2. Mosaic Plagiarism: When a student borrows phrases without quotation marks and keeps the same structure and meaning of the original. It is also called patch writing. It is academically dishonest and punishable.

  3. Accidental Plagiarism: When a person misquotes their sources or neglects to cite their sources or phrases a source by using similar words or sentence structure without attribution.

  4. Self Plagiarism: Reusing your own work and presenting it brand new. And it should be avoided as it misleads the reader by presenting old work as completely new and original.

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is never treated lightly in Steemit community. In as much as the community accommodates every content, if you are posting plagiarised or copied content, you can get into legal trouble for violating copyright law.
Plagiarised posts are seen as abuse and will be down voted by community members.
So to avoid down votes or getting into trouble;
• First of all ensure you have the right to use such images or content.
• Also make sure that you always cite the sources of your foreign contents and images.
How to avoid Plagiarism?
Properly cite sources from where the information is taken. For example I use the images in this blog, that bellow’s link can be shown as
